Course not.... several other RE and Lithium miners have raised finance, but the produced DFS, Pilot plants and demonstrated economic feasibility. They had a credible management team, with history behind them of success, not failure.

Average timescale for a mine is 10 years plus, going from start to production in 5 years (2026) is very fast apparently.
Some miners are working on their DFS for over a decade (EMH) others are dead and gone without getting that far (PRE).
It's a mind numbingly slow process.

Ionic Rare E arths, even in Australia are low %age but lower processing costs. They still need to get into production and make a profit, their product is cheaper but not *cheap*.
I looked at the Australia finds and yes they are $35/kg , maybe. But 1200 tpa is not going to dent world demand.

You may want to post this at the likes of Pensana forum. Those hard rock miners are toast on this news. Not they stood much chance anyway.
As for RBW, it has 20x the RE content of Ionic, in the form of soft gypsum(above ground level) with physical processing costs at less than half the Ionic miners.
Ionic miners Opex is higher than RBW, they are heavily dependent on mining cost due to the low concentrations.

Still, there will be a market for both as none are over 5% of world demand (and not cheap as the author claims).

I looked at the DFS of Ionic Rare Earth. $36/kg NdPr, ASIC $54/KG. Capex $120m. IRR 32%., based on a high NdPr price. That's Uganda.

Hydrogen can be produced mid ocean and transported via ship. That said ammonia is the fuel that will probably be used.
