Pensana etc have a 200 step process that costs $44/kg. At least.
Mining cost $2.8/ton plus strip ratio.
Stack processing costs <$1/ton and no waste. plus its above ground.

With low cost ionic clay and Phosphogypsum sources becoming available, hard rock miners are going to have a very hard time. Those there are funded have an edge - higher NdPr ratio or secondary resource product.
