Another 650k / £1.4m shares for NHN, whilst NHN are stake building I think this is more about protecting their investment from a low ball Take Out approach as mentioned by Ray Anderson rather than an actual Take Out.
Not saying they wont take Bango out at a later date, lets see if we get an RNS from the seller, Odey ?
This is like a Tik Toking time bomb ready to go booooom !
3) Could Facebook decide to prevent Bango running campaigns on its site in the future? Are there other places where you run / can run these campaigns or are you reliant on Facebook? Is it correct that you are trialling Tiktok for campaigns?
Paul Larbey: CEO: “When we developed Bango Audiences, they were designed to be applied to any digital marketing platform that allows you to target that campaign at a list of users, making it very platform agnostic. One of the reasons we talk about Facebook so much, and the reason we started with Facebook, is that the bulk of the app developer advertising spend is with Facebook, somewhere between 60-70%. Given it has the lion’s share of the app developer marketing budget, it was absolutely the right place to start. However, we are agnostic and indeed, we are working with Tik Tok, as well as other platforms, to bring the power of Bango Audiences to businesses that market using those different platforms. It benefits those platforms too, as they are all competing for a share of the same advertising spend and they want as much of that spend as possible. So, if we can make a platform perform even better, deliver better results and a better return on that advertising spend, then clearly, they are going to attract more of the overall marketing spend”.
I suspect an interesting and SP positive month ahead with news flow ramping up ahead of the H1 trading update and strategy day on 8th July.
As well as a good tick up in EUS for the period most of which drops straight down to the bottom line I’m expecting revenue from the Bango Marketplace to be contributing significantly to group revenue
Bango are cash generating it’s now a matter of how quick this can be ramped up
If this all works out I will be scheduling my flight in my soon to be purchased private jet & private island to avoid quarantine
Come on PC play your hand
Proxy service, somebody probably put the X in the wrong box
So Ray Anderson’s only worry is a take out with a low ball premium to the present SP although he appears to be confident the IIs & NHN wouldn’t allow this to happen, let’s hope the enemy is not from within. Maybe the best defence would be to raise the SP
Q What is your greatest worry for the business?
A Ray Anderson, Executive Chairman: “Bango is 21 years old, so there is nothing that would keep me awake at night. Over the years Bango has built a very strong and resilient platform. We have great customers, long-term relationships and are generating cash. The upside potential and scalability as the virtuous circle strategy delivers more data and more value for customers is clear. It could therefore be the case that someone may see the value of Bango, beyond the current market value, which could cause a predator to try to seize control of the Bango opportunity by paying a low premium on the existing share price. I don’t think that is likely to be the case because we have good relationships with our largest shareholders, they see and share the future path for Bango. Bango also benefits from powerful partners like NHN who has a significant stake and who sees our longer-term benefit to them as a business, and also sees its value as an independent business. I am therefore confident we are well protected against this. Forums like this AGM are key to make sure we are always talking to our investors about the business, what the future holds and where we are likely to end up in the coming years”.
maybe a touch early for that
Great article in the times on the value of steaming services. Bango taking a small slice of an extremely large cake

So we should expect the H1 trading update on or before the Strategy day 8th July
Attached link to the full NHN announcement on the 1st May but I like the below extract. Not sure if this changes anything for Bango from the agreements that are already in place and have been previously announced but lets see if we get a RNS in the morning with any updates and how the partnership will develop.
The start is Korea, but the ultimate goal is the global market. In April last year it it established a joint venture to provide CDP services in Europe. The launch of a data alliance with British mobile payment and data provider Bango at the end of 2019 is also a foundation for entering the global market

I found this from 22nd April on the NHN web page announcing the launch of NHN DATA and it mentions Bango but nothing new since
NHN launches'NHN DATA' , a data technology company
5 Mon 1 the official launch of 'NHN DATA', data, technology, business competitiveness and strengthen expertise
Targeting the high-growth global CDP market, preparing a new lineup based on AI technology
Mid- to long-term goal of becoming a'global top tier company' in the field of data technology
[NHN, 2021-04-22] NHN launches an independent corporation to expand its data technology business in earnest.
NHN (CEO Jung Woo-jin) announced on the 22nd that NHN DATA, a data technology specialist, will be officially launched on May 1st. NHN DATA is a company specializing in the field of data platforms, including CDP (Customer Data Platform), and is headed by Jinsoo Lee, who has led the data technology business of NHN.
NHN DATA targets the domestic and foreign CDP market with'Dighty', a data integrated management solution that integrates NHN's data technology, while supporting Augmented Analytics and business strategy establishment with artificial intelligence (AI) technology. It is going to introduce a new lineup. This is a strategy to ultimately strengthen global competitiveness as a data platform company based on AI technology.
CDP is a platform that enables integrated management and analysis of customer data collected from various channels in one place, and the related market size is growing rapidly around the world. According to market research firm Market & Market, the size of the global CDP market is expected to grow by an annual average of 34% and expand to $10.3 billion by 2025.
Jinsoo Lee, CEO of NHN DATA, said, “We will become a leading domestic CDP operator leading digital transformation in various industries with technology that adds value to data.” We will leap forward as a company.”
Previously, NHN has been developing data technology as a new growth engine and has a wide range of business competitiveness at home and abroad. It provides solutions and consulting to major industries such as finance, commerce, games, and the public, and has been participating in the government's'data voucher support project' for 3 consecutive years as a data supplier. As a result of being recognized for its technological prowess by leading overseas companies, it formed an alliance with the global IT company'Bango' in 2019 and laid a foothold for global business expansion. 'Audiens', a data solution company jointly established with'Bango' in 2020, is building a sales network through the European CDP business.
NHN is able to promote solid growth of its data business by adding the accumulated technology, service experience, and partnership with the fast decision-making and execution power of an independent corporation. The growth of the'Diety' solution is also expected to gain momentum. 'Dity' has been serviced since 2000

I think Bango have all bases covered with both DC and D2C billing options all gathering valuable purchasing data

Agree great RNS yesterday, what would be interesting for me and would certainly get the SP flying would be if Bango could start communicating progress with Amazon in the US especially in that they have agreements with all the major MNO's in the US. I would have thought the last year would have been a great opportunity to have lift off in the US for subscription services including physical goods via DCB.
Thursday SP tick up probably as a result of end of year ISA housekeeping . I expect further tick up next week with new ISA allowance kicking in.
