in my opinion.
That is why I am "all in" here.
I devour each opinion whether positive or negative.
Sometimes a particular attack will create doubt in my mind.
Then I need to have the mental discipline to evaluate whether the doubt created is "reasonable"
Similar to being on a jury and deciding whether any doubts you have are sufficient to deprive a man of his liberty.
Never fear doubt.
Those who never doubt probably have a screw loose.
Never to doubt is a sign of weakness not strength.
But you owe it to yourself (and your own peace of mind) to make your own decisions not piggy back on others faith.
So when I say imo AVCT is one of the safest investments I will ever make I expect many will have doubts about that statement.
Perhaps a friendly troll will want to emphasise some of the doubts (though I sometimes think if I wanted to troll I could do a better job than our crop)
imo ask yourselves whether each of your
doubts are reasonable
Then take responsibility for your own decisions.
Then sleep well.
Good interview.
Anyone who thinks different has a jaundiced view.
Did anyone else clock the bit where Al says he would expect / quickly changed to hope to see pre clinical effects of AVA6000 replicated in humans
Just for fun.
There will be at least 10 more blue days than red days between now and Christmas.
Interesting insight from the NCYT presentation today.
They haven't been shouting about sales contracts obtained in various parts of the world so as not to give competitors an advantage and keep market share.
Applies equally here.
Its AIM Neutronic.
People mistakenly think that the price of shares at any given time on AIM bears a passing resemblance to the value of the company.
Of course it does not.
Hence Innova being so quick off the mark.
Hence Innova and some other chinese tests being so quick off the mark?
Hey Sam.
What you are doing is parrotting the general investor sentiment in the market which looks at the mainstream news sees we are concerned about other stuff now reckons we have beaten covid feels its OK to hug and kiss all and sundry and raises eyebrows when masks are required.
I'm all for feelgood news but good quick reliable LFT tests are neccesary to keep us feeling good!
Nice last post PL75.
Summed the whole situation up in 3 lines.
2nd sentence sums up our AIM journey so far.
For those who can't believe where we are now just remember we've got to the same spot same emotions on at least another two occasions in the last year and a bit.
Will I learn my lesson and top slice when we get back to 3 or 4 later in the Autumn?
Probably not!
Oh and nice plug for Mapp.
I was a great fan and miss her.
Don't forget that when you are engaging/ arguing with you know who you may be communicating with a thirteen year old on a jolly.
Do you really want to waste your time?
Re the share price I take on board Magnets heartfelt plea for us to be kind to those who for various reasons are not comforted by the bullish short medium and long term expectations of many of us.
Indeed we should be kind to each other.
That doesn't stop us pointing out that EBITDA (cashflow) break even is in itself an initial victory for Covid LFT's which have always been a means to truly exciting ends (rather than an end in themselves)
It seems we are or or are about to be in the position of a small biotech with groundbreaking technology who doesn't have to raise funds from the market to get it proved.
I'd go as far as to say Unique.
The market hasn't begun to learn about Precision or affimers.
It thinks we're all about Covid.
That will again be emphasised when home use/Medusa get on the job.
For a very very brief period of time our little company is unloved.
Except by those of us who know beyond reasonable doubt that it constitutes/ will greatly assist our financial security in the future.
and I trust the Company now grt dome nicer communications than they have been
Yep a great day.
There's nowhere else more worthy of our investment.
Get off the AVCT board please ValJu
Is it us?
1. Jo Churchills answer suggests that the MHRA recent approval significant for UK diagnostics (more one would think than making Chinese tat)
2.Big Al still thought it was worth pursuing a couple of months ago
3.We are obviously the best
4.Surescreen are the only British test we know about to have passed PD.
The Government after their initial order hsve ignored Surescreen. ergo Surescreen are probably pants.
5. At times the Avacta bosses have obviously had the ear of certain parts of government
6. The changes to the new rules for acceptability of tests (correction- the first rules) show the civil service are listening and there are some elements who see the problems with PD.
That all having been said you could counter by arguing
1. Its never us
2. The government borrow their testing policies from the Alice in Wonderland playbook.
3. AVCT weren't one of the companies the gov introduced ODX to (btw does anyone else think that whole episode was rather strange- the gov it seems are rreating ODX with disrespect- we're not telling you what you must manufacture -but here are some people to talk to -what gives?).
To sum up I think its possible (but put it no higher than that) Jo Churchill is not referring to Chinese tat.
If so its as likely to be us as anyone
imo we are almost at the end of the frustratingly lengthy labour and birth of the next multi national (unless we are bought of course).
Some may immediately accuse me of ramping.
But look at the many reports collaborations partnerships etc involving affimers.
Reams and reams of scientific literature and not one hint that affimers have either failed or not outperformed antibodies or aptamers or the like when put to appropriate uses.
Had it not been for Covid and related LFT's (frustrating as the birth pangs have been) the medical establishment probably could have carried on ignoring the young upstart which threatens so many orthodox treatments and ways of diagnosis.
But LFT's have now bounced out into the world and aren't they lovely!
They'll grow fast and multiply.
No one really knows about affimers yet!
But their time has come.
And we were at their birth
has been great today.
There is a risk however that it will be spoiled not by a passing troll but by the shrill insulters that make his life so much easier.
see pob7777 link 123jez123.
No doubt you'll be getting some of the next shipment.
In other words
We're selling all we can make!
Where have I heard that before?
Thanks pob7777.
Very nice spot this morning Ophidian.
And I am not sure that the full import of it has yet sunk in on the Board.
To be clear up till yesterday the government procedure for approving tests for sale to the UK market required consideration to be given as to whether or not the test had passed or Porton Down or not.
Now this requirement has gone (as from yesterday)
Why is this encouraging (apart from the obvious).
imo Common Sense in the Civil Service can eventually prevail.
There is an inferred acknowledgement that Porton Down can no longer be seen as the ultimate arbiter.
Guess who's voices are again being listened to.
