Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Fantastic news folks!
I think you are right Wiggly that contracts could not progress till the delta variant situation was clarified.
Now we have a double Whammy RNS.
Firstly our gold standard status is confirmed.
Secondly XXXXXXX test (and we can all have a guess who) is officially useless crap!
As we all probably suspected the sad details of Sleazy Matts lack of integrity (of which his affair was the least of it) are beginning to come to light).
The full details will no doubt never be known.
I suppose to give it some context at least we live in a country where ultimately the government have some accountability at the ballot box (which seems to be why his colleagues forced him out).
Neither I would suggest do we have a malign government (as opposed to incompetent or sleazy) which actively oppresses its people.
One thing that the Brexit debate (and the Corbyn saga) did imo was create a better than average informed electorate.
The level of political debate is imo so much better than say the US where it appears that the majority of the opposition are happy to subscribe to a big lie.
None of the above is to in any way condone our government but maybe to encourage us to appreciate what we still have as a country.
The latest shennanigans do of course imo also help us to appreciate how well the company we invest in is governed compared to our country.
Maybe Pritti Patel wouldn't be so bad provided she gave the right people a kicking
I think Jeremy Hunt would be great.
Can we dare to hope that this is the perfect opprtunity to ditch innova and other Chinese imports and conveniently blame the old regime?
Actually you could say that we have never had to pass PD for home use.
What they were allegedly stodging up was the validation of perfectly good tests (hurdle now removed for the purposes of the new legislation) . Home use was always (correct me if I'm wrong) dealt with by way of self administering studies then CE Marking then MHRA approval and will no doubt continue to be done this way (or by EUA)
In the meantime imo AS of Avacta and others continue to liase with the government and PD in respect of their procedures being fit for purpose.
Seems like everything affimers touch turns to gold!!!!
Wake up world!
Didn't I read somewhere that they had already developed their test on the same day that the genetic profile of the virus was shared with the rest of the world?
Ha ha MFM
is that a thing?
We've got more than hope POD. We have expectation.
Listen again to the closing remarks of AS.
We have one of if not the the biggest diagnostic sales opportunity "that will ever come along".
The next 6 months will be full of really key milestones and significant news flow and he is "really looking forward to it".
So much to mull over which has already been covered on the board today (btw a really good board today).
One thing that intrigues me is the programme in respect of self use authorization which we are getting our teeth into along with Medusa. Subject to the further validations going well (and us complying with the new legislation) we will no doubt (when our promised accreditation comes through) be able to CE mark them ourselves for consumer use. What I am not entirely clear about but I assume this is the case is that the MHRA presumably at that stage just rubber stamps it.
Hopefully in the meantime we will have been granted EUA to keep the pot boiling.
It doesn't matter Bailey bear
What Mikey said.............
But if you can't bring yourself to follow his advice;
Step 3) Restrain yourselves from rehearsing their arguments and referring to their posts.
Thought you'd green boxed him Will?
What a Wonderful Day for buying up the remainder of the Innova Tests Loading them into your Cessna Dumping them in the North Sea and saying;
"Hows this for a Pilot Study"
(With apologies to the late great Ken Dodd)
And while I am in a "plagiaristic" mood.
If you can face the daily FUD and FOMO and not be swayed by gain or paper loss.
Yours is the game just go out there and win it you'll soon be holding up two fingers to your boss!!
Gulliver
It will do no good gkb filtering you.
The appropriate thing is for you to filter him so that there is no need for you to get involved in pointless argument.
Nice one tech.
Absolutely fine for LTH to rebalance their portfolios.
Only the insecure would see that (or their reporting of that) as a threat.
And for all that we sometimes complain that the chatboard is negative I beg to differ. I see a balanced healthy chat board.
True There are a few green boxes around but they are green because I have deemed them irrelevant.
I remain a happy investor
We have one of the best if not the best tests
We have one of the best CEO's
We have one of the best if not the best USP's (affimers)
We have another USP that may have the biggest global Wow factor ( Precision)- there's something can you have 2 unique selling points?
Actually as Enery reminds us we of course have many.
And because of last years placement and the forthcoming LFT sales (and the business rule that money creates money we can lay our collective hands on our chests in Spock like fashion and say;
"Make it So"
however note also the paragraph in the government guidance
"The new legislation will help consumers who choose to use private tests by giving the clear comparable information so THEY can confidently choose a test in a RAPIDLY EXPANDING MARKET" (capitals mine)
Agreed PL.
and the whole thrust of the new materials is to emphasise how important the self test lft industry is going to be in the UK in years to come
The spin in the new materials is that all private covid tests will have to meet a revised set of standards "in line with those used by the government".
Which makes it even more obvious that they would exempt the general category of tests ordered (and no doubt to be ordered) by them (because the governments premise is that the private industry is full of cowboys selling tests that don't conform to the governments high standards ha ha)
