Anyone know what the book value of Phasefocus is? I could not find in the accounts or RNS history but maybe I didnt try hard enough. Anyone happen to know?

Being kicked off Activ2 will hit the SP but it won't matter if the Sprinter trials a success. So up and down is part of the waiting game.

Having said that if we get Activ2 progression we will likely see all time highs. That also won't make any difference to the SP outcome after successful Sprinter outcomes....

However I liked that he RNS was very clear on what is being developed.Looks like the disposable cartridge element of the kit has required special attention for the reasons given in the RNS.

Dactions. It's counter intuitive BUT RM just told us in the presentation that the reason the recruitment slowed down is due to too many Covid patients. In a max capacity triage environment hospitals focus on care and put trials to the side.

True, Market never likes 'time' so this is entirely predictable. I have found that anticipating a poor market reaction to any kind of update has made me a better investor. Now I need to learn to keep cash on the side to take advantage. Doh!

Too true. Don't get me wrong - we all want jam today - but in all seriousness it was always going to be an 'update'. It's got more substance than I expected.

If there is going to be a sale it just became more probable - any time. If not I'm now more convinced they can get it to market. To be honest it's too good to not get sold but lets see.

Take a look at the worldwide covid numbers - take a look at the USA. Politically it's waning - not as a pandemic. Big chances for second generation of testing tech. Up to you though. If you don't like it off you go.

I'm trying to lift myself up from being a moody git this morning. Might be the weather.

Yes an RNS tomorrow morning would be great but I don't see it being a very SNG way of doing things - trying to stage manage the release of important news.

Thinking about it, tomorrow might be about statement of intent. i.e. we haven't completed the trials yet but we are confident and if we get the outcomes we expect then we are going to do x & y... the x & y could get us noticed.

I'm always a bit concerned with these events. If there was significant news it would have to be disclosed in an RNS - they can't cherry pick or time an RNS for a Q&A. We have experienced previously a situation where after a presentation by RM this board was full of vitriol for his less than enthusiastic performance..... as if this is panto rather than pharma.

The SP fell a lot that day based on nothing fundamentally changing. I continued to hold. But I do wonder what can possibly be disclosed that will in any way help beyond what we know or don't know today.

Hopefully it will be an upbeat confirmation that we can expect results this year. Anything else and this board will be full of trolls tomorrow afternoon.

Reading through some more of Carls recent tweets - they are mostly arguments with anti vax lunatics. One interesting nugget though. He was tweeting about what the Sheffield Uni Paraytec operation is and stated this '..... our latest venture is with a previously existing instrument company.' in response to being described as a spin off from the university.

I take that to mean a manufacturer is already making the kit, which lines up well for CE mark announcement. I know that Paraytec already make scientific instruments and assume they outsource the production side to a specialist.

To note that Trevor Brown retweeted Carl Smythes tweet that stated ‘ We can see 1000 virions per ml.
Easily.’ This was in comparison to the capabilities of other tests which cannot come even close to that level of sensitivity.

Paraytec device would be market leading for sensitivity. Come in BRH. Time to show us the manufactured product.

The CE mark is a self certificated accreditation that says that a product being manufactured and in use has met the necessary safety directives set out by the EU. There is a UK only version I think.

If BRH declare they have a CE mark for the Covid tests it means they have a manufactured product that meets safety standards. They would go through the process of self accreditation - perhaps seeking help from an external advisor if required. Having said that it's a box you put samples in so hardly challenging to declare safe. Much more important to know that it works in practice.

BRH needs to produce the kit and then sell it with the IP to another pharma company or build the entire manufacturing and marketing process itself. I think it's obvious the first option is the faster route to a nice divi for investors.

A lot of positions set yesterday. Expected volatility this morning if no news but that hasn't transpired so I think there is an expectation of news on Friday. We know what happens when the sharks aren't fed.
