I don't think 'the spikes brigade' have the kind of muscle to make that spike happen. There were millions in buys. Not a trivial movement. Someone really wanted those shares.

The huge sell kippers that were constant through yesterday afternoon have stopped. There has been plenty of buying activity since the last RNS. This is what happens when the selling stops and the buying keeps going. Massive kipper pie.

The 'negotiating position' is in relation to the JV not the asset sale.

Ohmni. First post this week to make me chuckle out loud. You probably really peed off some of the grumps on here today but top marks from me!!

My view is that the funds for JV are needed now. Funds from sale even if it was announced now would take time to settle so not available in good time.

Also the sale incurs costs such as taxes and others. More efficient to raise funds in this way and AIM rules allow it.

Terrible day unless fortunate enough to be invested in gas. I'm not.

Today is a day to forget.

The board do not need to tell us that there was interest in a larger placement from II's. But they did. That's a clear signal to me. Nothing is certain in life but I can't see negatives in the last years RNS's. The company is worth more now than it was when they announced intention to sell. A lot more.

Today was a good day to be invested in gas. Otherwise it's a bad day to have a bad day.

From what I can see the RNS does not reduce value of EUA. Even if I thought it was as simple as working out the impact of dilution with everything else being equal it would be a reduction of about 2.5%? Surely the reasons being suggested are demonstrating added value?

So today is about fear and sentiment rather than logic. It is hard to hold sometimes - actually it takes practice.

Tigra - agree that 'urgency' would be another reason to do the placement now rather than raise funds from the asset sale. This can work out a number of ways now but all positive reasons from my perspective. I don't think that that todays RNS means the asset sale is further away. Let's see.

Tigra - re point 2. Remember that the proceeds from a cash sale are subject to a number of expenses. Even if the sale is worth billions a company does not deliberately decide to find less efficient ways of raising cash for 15m. So it is more efficient to raise funds in this way via a placing and aportion it directly to the JV.

Also todays RNS makes a lot of sense if you consider that the JV may not be part of the asset sale. clearly I can't know anything but if I was selling a large part of the business and retaining another part but I was concerned whether the remaining business could advance it's strategy I would raise funds ahead of the sale as the SP + the potential divi makes it much more attractive to investors taking part in the placing.

It makes sense on this planet. More efficient to raise funds now from a placing.

Tilly - I didnt think the RNS was referring to the asset sale deal in the RNS but more specifically to todays placing. i.e. they received an offer for a more sizeable placing:

'After receiving a more sizable offer, the Directors have decided to limit the size of the Private Placement relative to the offer to minimise shareholder dilution and at the same time place the Company in a stronger position.'

Funds needed to invest in the JV after the asset sale. Harder to raise funds after the asset sale so do it now. It may indicate the asset sale is close.

The RNS is about the JV. Not the asset sale. Stronger negotiating position is regarding the JV.

I don't think it makes sense to use proceeds from an asset sale to fund the development of assets that are retained. Not when you can raise the funds in this way,.

Seems obvious to me that the JV will be mined and everything else is being sold. So much communication from the board this year has been aimed ensuring that everything that is not sold has value. I don't spend as much time looking at this as others do but for me it's clear that the deal for 'substantively all of the companies assets' meant everything outside of the JV. And now the JV is substantive too. It's all very positive unless you had to sell this morning.

Is it close?

The vaccines have demonstrably saved many many many lives and reduced transmissibility. On the other hand there is now less (even less) care being taken across society in general and infections are up with a more transmissible variant and more of those to come. Therefore the residual risk to a heavily vaccinated country becomes more obvious in the figures. It has not gone anywhere.

The answer is vaccine + testing. I would happily carry a passport that stated I had been vaccinated as long as access to a venue/border control/workplace etc was also backed by testing. The current lateral flow tests not accurate enough. So we need a second generation of fast tests to fill this space.

Ive been invested in SNG for well over a year now. SNG is not providing a drug to prevent transmission. It is a therapeutic for the infected and we expect that if further trial results support the previous data set that it will be a hugely important drug that will help to save even more lives. The market remains huge and not just for Covid. But we would be mad to not put vaccines and testing ahead of it. SNG puts the fire out if you are unfortunate enough to need it AFTER prevention has failed.

Whilst I get the impatience I can't help but remind myself that up until now the published data for SNG set is very small. It was very very good but in a world where (including on this board) people are slating even the vaccines, which were tested against a massive cohort in comparison, for being insufficiently tested...... how can we argue that it should be in use prior to reasonable trials?

It won't be long now unless your horizon is days instead of weeks. Then we will know. Regardless of the politics and perceived unfairness against SNG that gets mentioned here... if the next data set is half as good as the Phase 1 trial results the doors will well and truly be blown off. Nothing else gets close.

'what the market thinks' is what is ultimately, in aggregate, driving the SP. The market value is the SP. I'm just suggesting why I think the SP is down a bit today. I speculate just as we all do.

I read the RNS and it made me want to hold onto my shares but I also thought the SP would fall this morning. It isn't important to me as 'what the market thinks' AKA the current SP isn't part of my strategy.

Next big rise will be in anticipation of next news not the next RNS. I won't be selling any.
