It's any time now. I realise we all let out a collective sigh every morning at 7:02 but objectively the individual days passing isn't material right now. RM saying 'early 2022' was vague enough to allow for this eventualit - and deliberately so.

I would suggest that getting to 30% ahead of P3 results is nigh on impossible from here. If they wanted to do that they would have bought at a different trajectory starting at least 6 months ago. The SP would in fact be a lot higher as they would have been forced to be more aggressive. In any case Polygon have no interest in owning a Pharma company and I doubt the regulators would want them to either.

There has to be high expectation that P3 results will be out Monday next week. I thought the same last Friday mind you.

There's a documentary film out at the moment where the moon actually falls into the earth. In all seriousness I don't think anyone will need SNG's drugs after that. I'm out and investing in cheese from today.

If you have a look at Maria's general postings on BRH recently she has had a right go at Trevor Brown. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone in the BRH org has been gagged. She hasn't done herself any favours and probably overstepped by publishing libellous stuff on social media.

I know we all have strong opinions on this but it's pretty strong stuff to cause a CEO on fraud in public.

To be fair the last RNS update on Paraytec did tell us what the next steps are so it is just us investors not liking the wait. It stated trial starting 'hopefully' in February. So late feb to start that trial. Unless someone comes along and buys it in the meantime (possible) we won't hear much until March.

Carl not commenting on the commercial side isn't a bad thing from my perspective. We already know the tech works and that they are working on demonstrating the scientific value of that via a trial. Then I hope they can sell it.

There are other irons in the BRH investment book so can't write off news on those.....

Don't disagree Manifesto. Just note that the trading pattern of recent weeks is gone. Lowest volume I think this year. Polygon not buying. Would say it's only PI's trading so far today but not much. Usually get a few larger sells to create some liquidity.....

To me it looks like you would expect it to look if Polygon and (I assume) Polar stopped trading SNG today.

Can't imagine they would care too much about when they notified. Much more likely that Polygons parameters are price based. They have bought at this price recently and some - but not today I think.

I have seen, every day for some time, a quick flurry of half a dozen medium to large buys totalling 100 to 150k wish at about 8:30. Always assumed this was Polygon. Then chunks of 21k ish through the day. Not happened today.

I'm generalising maybe. They could start again any minute but habits changing could mean they finished buying for now.

Very low volume so far today..... not seeing any of what I have previously assumed were the usual Polygon buys.

Andybe4 - what value does SNG get out of confirming that SNG works in vitro against Omicron? They STILL have to complete the P3 trial to show that the drug works at all. They should release this info at the same time.

SNG don't care about moving the share price - it's a consequence of success. Telling us about Omicron in vitro testing when the trial is near to completion is pointless.

Actually Spanish Flu started bad - then got worse - then got milder. It is still around in nature.

Of course there is different scientific opinion but scientists tend to push a hypothesis and then wait to see whether it can be proven using the method. Often the press/goverments get excited about the hypotheses without realising that in fact the scientist was in fact shrugging shoulders and thinking - let's see if its true. This is where we are now - we do not know.

In any case. There are thousand of people dying daily in the states. Hundreds over here and there are many many reasons to believe there is a risk of new variants or even viruses that we should be prepared for. We currently do not know how our collective immunity to Omicron will play out. So there is plenty to be concerned about.

To be fair Andybe4 has some cover on variants becoming progressively weaker. It is a 'possible' outcome rather than a certain outcome. A more virulent variant is also possible and it's too early to say with certainty whether Covid19 produdes variants that are necessarily more or less dangerous or both.

Covid variants are dangerous when they produce new or unexpected symptoms - the consequences can be surprising. Ironically Covid 9 Delta is more dangerous to adults because it exploits a particular part of a mature immune system. Children are less likely to get sick because they have a less developed immune system (probably it's still a very new virus). Variants are like tweaks that have unexpected consequences.

The virus itself simply tries to replicate. If it can replicate well then it is more successful. It isn't aware of whether or not it is going to kill it's host. It can't replicate well if it kills every host. It can replicate well if it is has weak symptoms. It can also replicate well if it kills 5% of the population. So there is plenty of scary scope if we get a new strain every year.

Like flu the outcomes are variable. It gets less or more sever with each new strain. High transmission of a virus that is known to produce variants that produce significantly different symptoms and immune responses is the best way to get more variants.

There is no scientific basis for the virus weakening through future variants. The variability of symptoms in evolution of a virus is down to chance.

It is a 'popular' view that a virus weakens in severity but it is not a scientific one.

No medical professional would use the concept of - we can prevent people dying at the end - as a justification to allow Covid to go unchecked in the general population. It's completely nuts for the reason above. Mutation, mutation, mutation. People who get sick have life changing symptoms etc.

It's all politics. Even basic harmless mitigations like masks are being discouraged.

Tarka - I think we can be sure they will want some if the P3 results are as good as we all hope they will be. :)

Tarka - unless you can confirm a close relative or mate of a UK government cabinet member (or spouse of) then that is unlikely.

It's as if our government has a policy designed to create as many Covid mutations and increase the likelihood of new variants so that we have to close down the economy again whilst killing lots of people in the mean time but it doesn't really matter because we need to detract from Bojo's troubles.....

My point is that the GDR comparison does nothing. I was invested in GDR in 2020 and I can tell you I'm glad I'm no longer invested in GDR.

No way is Covid going away anytime soon. We may see a big reduction in cases through spring and summer but next autumn...... will there be a new variant? In any case current immunity from vaccines and infection will have waned a lot for large parts of the population. GP's & hospitals need to know if they are dealing with Covid or colds or flu.

Global picture is not good. Very much still a pandemic regardless of the language used by government and media. Also the preference to let it rip cos it's mild vastly increases the chances of more variants. More cases = more chances of mutation. Whether or not those variants are more or less severe is basically chance.
