Well if TB is buying shares we will get an RNS to tell us. I can tell you now that if that happened the SP would double today.

It's completely believable that there is less commercial interest in Covid testing considering where we are politically and we have a more 'mild' variant.

Fast forward to the next variant and that can change very very quickly as we have already seen late last year.

Yes. They are completing the Covid trial. They know there will be future need and next time they won't need to make a standing start.

It's disappointing that we can't monetise the Covid test right now and I think fair that BRH told us that the focus will shift to the Sepsis test.

I note that they will complete the longitudinal study for Covid. They know Covid testing will be back when we get the next variant. Value of Sepsis test will be multiples higher than current market cap (appreciate it's an IF but they are not making a standing start on the tech like they did for the Covid test - it's probably 90% developed).

So we have Phasefocus and others. We also have a Covid test which could be quickly delivered in the event of it being needed. We have development on Sepsis test.

SP very low. Not likely to fall much from here as its probably below book price of BRH assets.

Every time we have assumed that anyone knows anything that we don't it has transpired that they did not.

Ahead of trial results they published after hours - lessening impact on share price.

Now they publish intraday - upward impact on share price.....

It sounds like a double edged sword to me. If you enforce a no steroids protocol then you take forever to recruit the numbers. If you go with SOC including steroids then you can't show efficacy.

In the real world this type of product approval takes many years and during a pandemic you try to move faster by catching the wave.

Does Activ2 allow SNG to be used ahead of that SOC? i think so, hence that is where we might get some better news. There must be some efficacy evident in that trial for it to have been progressed to phase 3? That's was my thinking. But it will need to look very good indeed.

I agree. I never went after him. Sometimes a lot of us come across in the wrong way but ultimately NDN wanted to this to work and tried to keep it real for himself and for others.

Manifesto. For this trial you get standard care + SNG or the placebo.

Hindsight isn't able to direct the trial protocol. Don't forget that if they asked the patient if they were willing to go on the trial and forego the safety nets already available then very few patients would subscribe and very few doctors would recommend it.

It wasn't a flawed trial. The standard of care changed during the trial and therefore most of our patients were given the standard care and this included drugs which impact SNG's area of specific impact. You can not as a doctor withhold the standard of care from a patient - they could die on placebo!!!!

I the standard of care did not include steroids we might (MIGHT) have seen SNG do an even better job than the steroids do - but we cannot see it and the only way to test it is to run a trial.

So Activ 2 being a trial where SNG is administered earlier MAY show how SNG negates the need for later intervention - that's our hope now.

Don't be too surprised to see Russia back down a bit in the next week or so. It's all part of the plan. The west needs to hit Russia with hard sanctions now and that requires the west to agree on something. This is Putins test - how much can they get away with before the West does something about it.

Don't understand Putins current drive on this. He seemed odd to me yesterday. I have a suspicion that all of this might not be very popular at home...

I think the SP will go back above 20 in the next few weeks. I guarantee I won't come back to 'told you so' because I don't have the ego of a flee.

I’m way down here. SNG was 30% of my AIM portfolio which is a small percentage of my overall savings. I made a promise to myself that the money I put into AIM aim 2020 would never be added to. It was a shot at nothing if you like. If it goes well it could pay off my mortgage early. It looks a bit sad after yesterday.

Yesterday I bought at 23p. For a small amount I have actually doubled my SNG shares and reduced my average from 125p to about 70p.

I’m not sure now. If I had never heard of SNG I do not think I would invest in it today so my decision now is more About giving myself a chance of recovering some of the damage. It could go either way today.

I tried hard to recognise that P3 failure was a realistic outcome but I still felt gutted. I think SNG have worked so hard for this. I think it probably does work better than the steroid part of the current standard of care but the trial was not set up to see that. It may be that there is evidence of this hidden in the data or from Activ2. Activ 2 must show some efficacy or it would not have been progressed to phase 3?

I’ll see what happens over the next few weeks. Likely if the SP does recover a bit I will sell all but my original shares and leave them in the bottom drawer.

I had a similar experience with HE1 last year and recovered from it. So it’s not all bad but it is very very hard to get to a good profit on AIM whereas other savings in unit trusts have flown - but they are boring!

SNG will have been handed top line results in the last few days. They will not have had prior insight.

SNG believe in the science and will be frustrated that since they initiated this trial, circumstances have changed and the trial was not able to cut through against a background of better outcomes from standard care.

SNG did everything they could to be ready to go with the right organisation assuming positive results. All in good faith.

Don’t look here again today. We all knew the risks and I will move on. Really sorry for those seriously damaged by this outcome. We all own our own decisions and for me no regrets - I have learned so much.

I asked this question on this board a few weeks ago - who at SNG has already seen the trial data? Because I had previously been convinced that nobody at SNG would see the data until after topline results presentation from Paraxel. At the time the only response I got was ‘SNG know the results’.

So I should have stuck to my original thinking. It makes total sense that SNG don’t see anything and that protects the integrity of the trial.

So we don’t have them because SNG don’t have them and SNG are setting everything up on the assumption that the trial has been a success because they know the science works and can anticipate success and be ready for it.
