It is certainly true that the hotel would have a list of attendees for a business meeting. It is also true that it is not unusual for the hotel to check identity at reception - although it would be a work ID card level of security not passport/drivers license.

I don't think anyone can tell whether or not the original post was true. However if it was there are good reasons why that group of people could be meeting SourceBio that do not include the P3 trial.

It is always more likely to be a Monday because it is preceded by 2 days on which an RNS cannot be issued - so if the results were finally available at 6:30 tonight or after then the earliest it can be announced in Monday morning.

Other than that - no reason at all. Every day and indeed every minute within trading hours has the potential for news.

The SP is not a function of the relative number of buys and sells. It is about demand and liquidity in real time.

So if I want to buy 100 shares now and they are available at that share price it isn't going to lift the SP. I don't want to pay more so I might buy even more at that price and if there are still shares to buy then I can have more without the SP lifting. Granted that if a lot of buyers come in at the same time and we have a lot of demand then yes the mm might increase the bid to encourage sellers to create liquidity for the buyers.

Buyers do not want to pay more so buying is not of itself going to increase the SP unless the mm has to increase the bid to get more sells to meet that demand.

I think Andybe4 we are agreeing mostly and certainly whether it is endemic or pandemic it won't make much difference in terms of SNG's success.

Yes it will become endemic at some point but the current use of the word is political and convenient. I don't think we will become truly endemic soon and that it is unknown today when that will happen. It is the high prevalence of variant and high risk of variant escape that keeps it pandemic for now. It is still a novel virus with potential for unexpected consequences.

We are in a far worse place than we were this time last year.

SNG can help us move to an accepted endemic stage assuming it does what we want it to do.

Political view - Lets start calling it endemic as it will make it easier for us make popular decisions to open up the economy, stop funding testing (which causes inconvenient bad news), stop talking about people dying and excuse people people who do not want to take simple precautions like wearing masks etc. It's OK - we will be lucky and the virus will become even more mild and just go away with some paracetamol. Ignore the experts they are just in the way of our positivity.

Medical view - it's still a pandemic and we need to take necessary and balanced precautions until we have a solid arsenal of prevention, vaccine and therapeutics in place. We also need to monitor for variants and prepare for vaccine escape of more transmissible and dangerous variants. We'll tell you when it endemic and we can change the overall approach to live with the virus.

We have always been making a drug for pandemic and endemic purposes. Pandemic's are global phenomenon. We cannot just say it's over. It's definition is agnostic of politics or peoples opinions.

What we have is a political closure of the word pandemic and change to meaning of the word endemic. None of this will change what the virus is actually doing.

There is no closed period with regard to P3 results. There is absolutely no way that an insider is allowed to buy or sell whilst the P3 results are being assessed. The only relevant question is whether the buyer is an insider or has insider knowledge.

It was clumsy at best but they probably do not have insider knowledge. Only a very small number of SNG employees will have insider knowledge of the P3 trial results. The Comms Director does not need it.

There is also no way that SNG would delay announcements of results for a product that can save thousands of lives and could be worth billions over a few thousand shares. In effect it would be an admission of insider trading.

It's ridiculous. You can't go by what a CEO says. There are c. 50k reported new cases daily in the UK (ZOE and ONS suggest far far higher). There is high variant risk and reducing not no evidence that population immunity is increasing. I myself know of someone who has caught Covid 3 times in the last 6 months - I know that's an anecdote. These are not 'endemic' circumstances.

We have created the best possible environment to make variants more likely and a new variant tomorrow could circumvent all immunity and take us back to lockdown. Trust me that the vast majority of the medical profession are thinking about when they will be saying 'told you so'.

No manipulation. We have a major buyer and there is plenty of liquidity for them to buy at these prices. If we are buying we want to pay the lowest price we want - no?

Ndn71 - it is not supposed to be precise. It is guidance. What is written in an RNS is the official guidance, not how it is said by RM. Early 2022 gives flexibility as it cannot be precisely defined. Giving precise guidance on dates leads to market disappointment. I mean - any time early 2022/when it's ready.

Woodstock Exactly. There is no way to provide any further clarification without giving the receiver of that knowledge a market advantage.

If at some point SNG believe that the results will not be 'early 2022' then they can choose to tell the market via an RNS but we are weeks away from that being needed and for that reason we should all assume the results will be any day now - which includes today, next week, the week after. When they are ready.

There isn't going to be any further clarification on what 'early 2022' means. The results are imminent. Even those doing the statistical analysis will not be certain exactly what day they will finish until the end. The analysis will be iterative.

We all just have to wait. getting it done sooner requires less care. It is what it is. Done when it's done. If you invested then wait and see - it's all you can do.

Honestly I think the odds are the same every day now. They won't wait for a Monday unless it's just chance.

They will not wait for peer review before issuing top line data. Can't be bothered to go into detail other than to highlight the untruth of this statement.

Thanks HPHQ. Very reassuring. They know when they write this stuff down that they cannot stretch credibility too far. So it really is any moment now and that is what they believe to be true.

Last year we managed to get down to almost negligible levels of transmission in the UK. All down to vaccines, lockdowns and societal awareness of how to avoid spreading which most of the population went along with. Right now the base position going into spring is less certain and the likelihood of another variant emerging is higher than ever.

Theres nothing wrong with the article as such. Only that the heading misrepresents the contents of the article. It's subtle if it tells you what you want to hear - as a reader some of us notice and some don't/ But it's just an article and it's a popular view but it isn't supported by any actual data - just assumption and the writer of the article got just enough from the interview to make the claim they already wanted to make. Most of the popular press have said as much. They did this time last year too.

The plural of 'articles' is not data.
