No there hasn't been much SP action on anticipation. I was expecting it.

I note that there are some very very volatile stocks in mining/exploration right now and a lot of money has been made by trading those in the last month. Perhaps thats part of why we are not seeing much action here. I think WSBN will have it's day in that regard but really do think the results may now arrive any moment.

Yes it was.

I do think this is a good entry point. If there is a drill then the SP will be higher than it is today. My simple logic. Usual risk caveats apply.

The recent RNS (10th October) confirmed the latest position on the drill rig and in my view provided a positive outlook for a Q1 drill campaign. There were interviews at the same time which also felt positive to me.

Not sure what people want. SP was always going to fall on the basis that any anticipation of the actual drill waits until Q1. It isn't an indication of the likelihood of success right now, it's an indication that potential investors don't need to buy in yet.

"Feature" - it's a bit of an in joke. In my career we quite often describe something that IT do that really isn't helpful as a 'feature'.

I see this on google finance too. I think it's a recent 'feature' as was not always so.

I reckon that if WSBN had results from the lab - good or bad- at any stage we would get an RNS the next morning at the latest.

Back in August / September it was recognised that there were delays at the lab 10-12 weeks? It was also not clear exactly when the first cores were sent after the first 'visual signs' RNS in early August.

I'm not absolutely certain of the rules but it seems to me that assay results are provided as a minimum for one full drill?
Based on that the first results are due any day now but not in fact late.

In any case - we will get results and none of us know what they will say. We do know that WSBN are confident enough to flag encouraging visual mineralisation.

I honestly don't think anyone believes that the core in the pub is the only core they have....

Well the results are shown for each drill hole summarising the findings for x number of meters so it's many more than one if they are the size of the one in the pic. Actually I think the cores are perhaps a few meters long so its hundreds of long ones or thousands of short ones..... it's not how big your core is its......... :)

I have been wondering all along when we will get results and gave up trying to second guess it. Do they get results on a few small samples first? Do they wait for a full drill top to bottom. Do they wait for a set of drills.

All this leads me to think that initial results of some sort could arrive any day and the drilling continues over a long period - many holes and many sets of published assay results.

I note it was a core segment cut down the middle rather than the full round - so the rest of it is probably at the lab. In any case it's just one of probably thousands of cores so make no odds if it gets sent to the lab or not unless it's the only good one.

There will literally be hundreds maybe thousands of core sample to send to the lab.

It's clearly a heavily mineralised core that looks similar to cores shown from other successful exploration companies and of course even one that is local to this find.

If you are WSBN you can RNS encouraging visual mineralisation as they did. You can't then say anything about the actual content breakdown without the lab first producing those results. This is what creates the 'level' playing field in mining/exploration - otherwise it would just be chaos. It's not perfect.

So WSBN will be waiting just like us for this lab results,

Not sure I agree with them posting pics of cores in bars. However the intention is clear - it says 'hey folks look at our rocks, don't they look like the rocks that contain gold that were lab verified for that other company!!' Which they do.

If you want something for free. I use Google finance for live trades (15 seconds I think). You can take a look at the daily chart and click on it to see the time/price/size of all the trades.
For an indication of prices/spread I set up a watchlist in UK Investing.com. You can set up a number of useful metrics including bid/ask.
I would also suggest though that the only true way to know the spread it to do dummy buys and sell. The advertised spread is nearly always wider than what's actually on offer.

I think it's worth pointing out that the actual cash value of the trades on a day like today is very very small (less than £50k so far today). So in reality there really isn't any selling up worth thinking about.

There sure are other stocks in the field of mineral or gas and oil exploration attracting more interest right now. BOIL being one.

WSBN will still have its day. Nobody knows when the next RNS lands.

BOIL could announce that they have interested parties carrying out due diligence. Would certainly move the SP. So whilst closing a deal would take time, there are plenty of triggers to move the SP up.

If there was to be an RNS they could now publish it before 6:30 tonight or before the bell in the morning. Nobody can buy or sell until then so it makes no odds.

Not that I think there will be an RNS. I think it is and was always intended to be PR. I don't think that makes it waffle and I would hope it draws out where shareholder value will come from going forwards.

toptuf. It's not just you. I actually did sell half five mins before the bell and not something I really wanted to do as my average is .22. That half will buy more shares here if the SP falls in the morning. If it rises I'll take it on the chin.

Stop losses. Well it depends on your attitude to risk. But in this case would have been better to sell half at 0.2, then you could reinvest if the SP falls tomorrow and reduce your average.

I don't think the SP will get down to .1 tomorrow but if it gets to sniffing distance of that your stop loss will be gratefully taken up and those shares will be bought by someone else - maybe even by someone on this board.

Regulation requires that the actual content of the sample is assessed by a lab. It is OK to RNS visible evidence but not actual breakdown of metal content.

So regardless of what the core sample looks like they cannot state what is actually represents. The issue at hand is that it is possible to establish if gold or copper is present much faster on site but that view cannot be used to inform the market.
