I expect they couldn't do this earlier because they couldn't demonstrate that they had a solution for having an actual drill to do the drill - too much risk to do a placing.

This is what happens when you have a placing for something where there is an obvious value making event on the horizon - or at least investors believe there is.

Same happened at BOIL recently. SP is pinned like a leash to the placing price so it can't get far away from that and investors know they can pile in at what could be cheap levels without the SP moving up much. Creates a false market.

Good thing that this placing is being done fast with the shares landing on the exchange next Tuesday. After that it will take news about the drill to get the volume.

It will soon be forgotten and then we are into news flow (hopefully). I do think that the SP can grow significantly if there is a drill. Regardless of the risk, once that drill breaks surface punters will be in.

Last years drill saw the SP get to 28p.
This year we have dilution and a lot of 'once bitten twice shy'. So maybe not getting back to that level?
However there is a better drill and the learning from the previous drill and geology.
Chance of investment success from c. 5p? I'll certainly be following the SP in the morning.

My own view and risk of course. You actually have to be a bit bonkers to invest in AIM at all.

I think most of us invested here do know how DM works and have included this in the risk.

Point is this is quite a unique opportunity. Yes it's high risk and high potential reward. Invest what you can afford to lose etc.

Alternative is to not drill and close down the company. This is how AIM works. It is a specific benefit of floating on AIM that you can raise funds for speculative investment. Always going to happen. Even successful AIM mining stock raise funds via placings.

Looks like a bed and ISA to me. Someone wanted to get those shares into a tax free account. Nothing bad about that. Likely in reality the first is a sell and the second one is a buy into the ISA.

Also - objectively £20k trades are not huge especially if it's just the one in a day. There is virtually no trading on this share right now - very low volume.

Richard Poulden stated in an interview on 6th October something along the lines of - 'it will be Q1 before we have a clear picture. '

A lot of us took that to mean we would not see anything until Q1. I now realise he meant the overall picture building into Q1.

Not so negative. I feel like showing you a fruit cake and sticking some straws in it to show the the context of drilling a dozen holes in such a wide area and then extrapolating a view from it. Actually the 1m at 6.4g/t is significant as it suggests that there could be more of this - which is exactly the purpose of these early assay results. From an exploration perspective these results warrant further investigation which is what is going to happen and is what WSBN meant when they told us it would take until Q1 to provide a realistically clear picture.

GGP had a great 1st hole but not every hole they drilled was great. There is some luck involved in initial assays.

Not wanting to ramp this. In no way are these results warranting anything other than further investigation and if all we get is more of the same then this isn't going to work out. But they are not terrible as an initial set and that's why the SP hasn't moved much - it's a work in progress with no guarantee of success. I won't buy more but I won't sell them on the back of this RNS.

It isn't ducking the question. They cannot announce a fund raise at a presentation. It has to be via RNS so that every shareholder can receive the news at the same time. This is how market regulation works.

Analyst share price predictions are not the HE1 internal perception of chance of success. The point made at the start of this thread remains unfounded.

You can't go out and say - 'we think we have an x% chance of hitting the jackpot". Why do you think DM specifically said he couldn't reveal that? What if they believe they have a 90% chance of declaring a discovery? SP would explode.

It's called market manipulation and that's why they didn't do it.

It was absolutely clear from a recent interview that we can expect flow rates by mid December. So yes next week there is likely to be news.

This being the type of firm it is I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't some sort of attempt to get the market excited ahead of assay results. It doesn't take much in this crazy AIM world.

WSBN made it very clear weeks ago that assay results will be communicated in Q1.

So they have set expectations on timing, nothing is late.

Nothing is certain and there are significant risks to investing in this company as there are in any mining discovery stock. However to state 'we all know they haven't coz they'd be shouting about it' isn't necessarily true.

In fact, in my view, they have shouted about it. They more or less said - we found something, look at these core samples (they should not have done that) but we want to follow the right process to show meaningful assay results rather than one or 2 drill holes, it will take until Q1 to have that.
