It probably didnt take very long at all. It's very small money in the grand scheme of things. Alenby Capital will have been well aware of interested parties at hand ( they will maintain a register - you can probably get on it if you are credible) and reaching out to execute this probably took less than a day.

I can see no evidence of forward selling. It's always said that it happens but honestly didn't see the volume or patterns to support that assumption.

The SP shot up to over 30p and then has started to fall back down to where it was yesterday because traders thrive on news or anticipation of news. It felt a bit quiet so people sold out and went to make money elsewhere. That's short term thinking but good luck and it works for some and profit is profit.

I would say that the the SP yesterday was fair value considering the recent increase in known assets. 12p seems like a great price considering there are likely opportunities incoming for BOIL.

Looks like trade volume will be at 4x average daily volume by lunchtime. That's very positive in my view. Plenty of buying action in that.

So we expect news in November and it's now 15th November but news is late.

It's a good offer for retail investors. I had a tiny amount here and now I'm able to get some at a price I didn't expect to see...

I think Baker Hughes is a good outcome for HE1. That facilitates more certainty for the drill plan. As with everything it comes with some dependency with Baker Hughes needing to complete something else first but my understanding is they are worth waiting for. .

I don't disagree that the '2022' drill campaign that never happened was badly managed. Stuff happens and I would prefer it didn't but it is what it is. I look to de risking of the plan as it stands. I don't see any poor behaviours - just an imperfect exploration company learning from it's mistakes (I know - shoot me).

The last RNS update contained this important line regarding logistics.:

"Baker Hughes anticipates equipment to be released from current operations in December, which would allow drilling to commence early in 2023."

I not sure there is any reason to think an update is late or that we should expect one now. I would think December - either Baker Hughes on track or not will be the next news.

No point in moving a drill rig to the location without having the site logistics ready. Apart from the export/import paperwork for that it will only take a few days to get the rig to the location.

From my perspective they will get the drill going sometime in Q1 and that was made clear in the RNS.

I suspect that what the Russian Federation says are the realities on the ground don't have much to do with the realities on the ground.

I can't imagine they are drilling away in full knowledge that the outcome isn't going to be positive. More likely they have every reason to believe that they have something good but are not allowed to RNS that without assay results. Thems the rules.

However I remain slightly surprised it takes into Q1 23 to see any assay results. But if they had them they would publish. There would be too many parties with knowledge of the outcome for it to be kept secret no matter what the content.

I don't see how the last RNS gave any expectation that there would be a need to confirm anything about the rig getting to Kenya within 4-5 weeks. I can't see a problem here to get that in place for a Q1 drill. Having crossed the border between Kenya and Tanzania myself it's no more challenging than any other border. No way is that going to be an issue.

Get a truck stuck in a puddle for a few hours yes. Refusal to allow a drill crossing the border not going to happen - just paperwork.

In my view HE1 will drill and if they find reason to do so they will raise funds for further drilling. Without the former I'm not sure there is much to consider.

I'm completely comfortable with them raising funds and include that in my risk view of this investment. If they confirm a discovery I expect them to raise funds to realise that potential. If it's not clear then it gets harder. Dilution is a symptom of AIM that has no cure - so invest accordingly.

Really solid Q3 update. It doesn't change anything in the near term and the markets are generally down so the Aviva SP performance this morning more reflects that. There may have been a bit of trader activity this morning at the bell - some anticipation of similar SP performance as seen after the half year results. Better to have this stability and steady rise to 4.5 or better...

I'm not too grumpy about it. Q1 is not too far away but it's a big window to sit and wait in when we get there. Hopefully we will get a better indication of when we might see something.

Only the lab can confirm gold. In context it's not appropriate to just state there is gold because without having an objective view of how much/quality/depth there can be no understanding of the commercial value.

I do wonder what the ask is at the lab. I had expected they would provide assays for the first one or 2 drills with a more substantive RNS for many drills later. Well I was wrong about that. Or maybe that will happen but it's taking wayyyyyy longer than expected.

So with good flow rates and additional drill prospects. Maybe mid cap can get to between 5m and 20m in the medium term. It's about 5m now. Thoughts?

Not stupid and it's a perfectly valid strategy. Nobody can ever be certain in this game. I try to be logical and I see that the SP could get to between 10 & 18p in Q1 depending on how expectations are managed. It's a big window for the results.

We know for sure that there will be results.

So I'm thinking I might buy more if the opportunity arises. Need to make some profit somewhere else first - I have rules - that don't work often ;)

Indeed. A bit of a face slapping moment in there but waiting a few months is something I can do.

Positive overall. It was good to hear a bit about how the testing works and how it isn't possible to know what the content of those cores are without it. I prefer to have expectations managed overall but should have suggested Q1 in a recent RNS.

Sloppy but still a buying opportunity.
