Rocketing population growth of +125% in 60 years, faster than South Korea (105%), and rocketing life expectancy since 2000 (faster than South Korea) do not suggest major food or drink shortage today in North Korea. If there were major problems, the population and life expectancy would be going down, not up.

To be clear, nobody is supporting North Korea. Nobody.

But the point is this -- everybody expects Russia to implode in a Putin coup due to economic sanctions. History suggests that will not happen.

North Korea's population has more than doubled in 60 years. Lots of food going in lots of mouths. NK pop is outgrowing the UK by a huge margin. Not sure North Korea is as short of food and drink as we think.

Some (Asian) surveys have ranked North Korean happiness as high as 2nd in the world. Human happiness is relative. If you know little or nothing about the outside world, you will be happy with your lot. If you have just a little bit more than your neighbour (same street), you will be happy.

Not sure the UK is all that free. Say one word not on the govt-approved list and it now means jail. Go read the upcoming Online "Safety" Bill and see how free you feel.

As predicted -- months ago -- CBX now plunging into the 1-2p range.

Sentiment is very bearish here. Shares are down an incredible -90%. An overvaluation, followed by a Xmas mislaunch, with stock shortages, have hammered the share price.

Countries always find a workaround. They are (very) determined -- whether we like it or not.

LLOY has been one of the worst-performing shares in the entire history of the global stockmarket! It has plunged 80-90% in the past 10-25 years. Not sure it's a safe trade.

The West always harps on about economic sanctions. But they have made little or no difference to North Korea, Iran, China, etc. Determined foes always find a workaround. Russia will find a workaround -- probably thru China, Syria, and a few others.

It took the US / UK around 5 weeks to take Iraq in 1991. Ukraine is getting free rockets and satellite pics from the West, which is why it is taking a bit longer. But a wild guess, looking at the latest war map today, says Russia will probably control the Eastern half of Ukraine by the end of March.

To be fair, the slump was entirely predictable (and predicted by many), from 15-30p.

The charts are suggesting 1p is possible here.

Recent simulated wargames suggest that, even if all the ~13k nukes on planet Earth were fired in 1 month, around 50-70% of the planet's entire population would still survive.

UK is tiny and would be wiped out. But Russia is gigantic, has lots of big mountains and deep rocks, and Putin (or his deputy) would probably be able to hide somewhere and sweat it out.
