Thanks ARiger. Really useful. Where are you seeing the Librium forecast? I went on investor relations this morning and couldn’t see anything. Is the 138p after the “Materially lower than expectations” update or is this the figure that PLUS now think they are going to be materially lower than? I expect the former given your bullish stance but just checking.

Thanks, I do hold RBS and am happy with my holding although may top up next month. I am just trying to engage with other peoples views to understand how other small investors approach their portfolio. Reason for Metro is that I started following the board after the recent drop and as it is quite active I thought there was a decent chance of some discussion.

I could easily ask the same on a few other FTSE 100/250 chat boards - LSE for example. Perhaps I will....

I get that RBS will struggle with over supply of shares when the government offload and perhaps RBS was a bad example because of this but my general question is regarding the P/E disparity between Metro and the bigger banks. I get that Metro may have more growth potential but it feels like you are paying a price today for best case scenario earnings in the future?

Put it another way: If you were a multi billionaire and were buying a company in its entirety would you rather buy Metro for £1.3bn currently generating £10.8m profit or RBS for £29.2bn with profits of £1.4bn?

I am keen to understand if there is something obvious I am missing? I get buying shares with a high or even negative P/E but this is when you are buying a medical company hoping they will get 3rd stage approval for a drug or a tech company who are developing something new not yet monetised but with incredible potential.

If the answer which seems to be what Giro has given is that you are trading a "bounce" or a "drop" then i am sure you can make money from this but if there is no fundamental reason to hold the shares then in trading them you are hoping there will be someone else who cares even less for the fundamentals and therefore offers you a higher price. Seems like a strategy which could fall apart at any moment.

I get that this happens all across the market but never understood it and thought Metro was a prime example so thought i would get a holders take on this..... Or are you all just trading this?

Shame there is no guidance to the 2019 profit range.... Materially lower could be a 15% drop or a 99% drop making it very hard to invest here with confidence. IG seems a safer place for my money with admittedly slightly less upside.

I read that the FCA support the EU regulations so presumably we will adopt them (just like we will adopt 99.99% of all the EU rules).

Genuine question as opposed to being confrontational but could someone invested here explain to me why you would buy shares in Metro with a P/E of 71 vs invest in RBS for example with a P/E of 9? Obviously if you opt for the former you must anticipate significant growth in metro and/or significant decline in RBS but even if Metros profits increased 7 fold you would be at the same P/E as the bigger banks.

I am sure there is genuinely a good reason and I could have asked this question about numerous companies across all sectors but have been vaguely following this board and having finally got round to getting a login decided to ask the question.

I have had IGG in my watch list for a while and not paid PLUS much attention tbh. After Tuesdays drop for PLUS it now looks very appealing albeit that 2019 profits will be significantly below expectation.

IGG dropped on yesterdays news but by nowhere near as much but is there any reason why IGG won't announce a similar profit warning when their results time comes?

Can anyone put forward any arguments for one over the other at current prices? On pure fundamentals Plus now looks stronger whereas I would have said the opposite a week ago....

If anyone also spends time on the PLUS board please excuse reading this post twice.

I am a very small investor so trying to keep things simple but this does seem a decent buy right now so good luck to all who are invested.

The Final year results made mention that they expect the same headwinds in 2019. Did people read into this as 2019 having similar profits to 2018 or a similar drop in profits to 2018?

The former would make this a solid buy IMO where as the latter would probably leave me holding but not topping up.

I don't hold here but thinking of taking a small number of shares but not enough to be worth the faff if I end up needing to take action due to broker not transferring shares to new exchange. I use HL, without knowing the exchange they will be listed on does anyone have a view as to the likelihood that HL will trade on that exchange?
