Can't see why ordinary dividend wouldn't be kept.. EPS roughly 25p divided by 15p DPS gives coverage of 1.66 times.. still left with 10p per share to do what they want.

PE of 10 on EPS of 30p would be £3.. I see that as a quite realistic target over the next few years if the turnaround works and LFL growth improves.

That doesn't include any share buybacks which will boost the EPS further. Obviously all a big IF right now.. should get some more hints next week on progress.

I think most of us here are amateurs on forums.. but I'd say low 200s is quite attainable.

ATM a forward PE of about 7 based off EPS of 24p. Assuming that rises back to 30p next year the Share price equivalent at the same PE ratio as now would be £2.10..

I think it's quite conservative. PE should be higher once/if the market starts to gain trust back in the company. But hey anything can happen lol.

Apologies, yes I get the cramped layout.. no issues with tills myself but I guess it depends what store you go in.. I'm not a frequent visitor but it is very accessible for some things. I'm only going off personal experience, and something I have noticed is alot of price reductions so now you are actually getting a better deal on the majority of household goods and some food stuffs compared to the Tesco next door to mine..

Whether this all translates to LFL growth remains to be seen.

The last presentation by the company mentioned no need for store refurbishment.. the majority in the portfolio are quite new. Certainly the ones I've been in are smart and clean with a good frontage.. I'm sure there are bound to be some that need some work but I wouldn't say it is pressing and the CEO seems to think not aswell.

Now you can see the current regular dividend is 'very affordable' imo..

I can see the need to cut the special dividend but not to cut the regular.. regular dividend is still very affordable..
