Come on then Dean, give us your calcs for why £1 would be a fair price?? I assume you also think all other retailers will nearly halve in value following the budget.. you aren't backing it up with anything other than 'the budget'. Alot of people are mentioning it, you'd think alot of negativity would be priced in.. I can see it going a touch lower to account for the so called 'doom and gloom' weaker fold of hands... Barring anymore profit warnings, you can't escape the fact the stock is cheap with it's earnings in its sector.

Pay your money take your choices. The company insists fundamentals remain intact.. the cashflow is still huge and revenue is growing.. depends if you think the fundamentals are declining and not likely to recover.

I don't know.. there wasn't exactly any surprises.. they already told us what the EBITDA was going to be, and the revised guidance and the Revenue growth. We know they are struggling for LFL growth so really there weren't anymore nasty surprises.. I didn't expect a huge drop. The real movements will come on any improved trading coming off the back of the new plan.. a rise up to January would seem a logical bet..

We know what the results are but it's the outlook. By time results are out they may have a better idea for FY26 considering we will be nearly a quarter of the way through lol. Further increased profitability and revenue's neutral to higher would be good 😅

However, on the budget I also think everyone is thinking the same thing and capital has left in droves because of it.. therefore if we are all thinking the same and waiting chances are it won't drop that much and could possibly even relief rally (depending on measures taken). Alot of people are thinking the worst case.. therefore the market will potentially do the opposite. It's not often everyone is right 😂..

Yes i agree with that logic. I reckon alot will drop or remain subdued until after the budget then realisation that it's not as bad as everyone fears and they will slowly edge up again. In B&Ms case the January update is quite a Biggie with a few key bits of info.. business review, redomicile, golden quarter trading, potential share buybacks..

Nice.. I had a buy set at 150 yesterday just incase the panic sent it there.. 155 I think it got to.. nevermind, I have plenty around the 170 area I'm content with going forwards 💪.

I would say £3 is likely if the turnaround works.. PE will start to rise inline with its peers.. even if the earnings 'only' stays at c25p £3 only brings PE of 12 which is about right with its sector. Signs of recovery and this will start to align. Though maybe a few years off. £2 'should' be relatively simple providing this update is near as to the bottom of it's earnings cycle. (He says 🤣)

Good post senator.. highlights the value mismatch.. aslong as they can get the LFL up.. today's SP just shows how much has already been priced in and how cheap it is compared to its peers.

Shame we still have to pay the 15% but is what it is until the review has finished. Hopefully once review finished and announcement of Q3 trading their will be an announcement of share buy backs. Decent investor call then, CEO seems very on it. See what happens from here, post budget 😂.

Cheers Zanab, I'm quite comfortable. Small ISH position but will have more if it drops lower.. I'm not an in and out trader so happy to sit for a few years to let the turnaround unfold.. I get the volatility short term c6-12 months but just provides opportunities. (Providing the CEO gets a grip of the business) Atb

Yeah, seems like they are wanting to save a chunk for a share buy back in the new year reading that RNS.. wouldn't be surprised to see director purchases now that results are out.

Neither here nor there.. alot is priced in, so the base is low especially compared to its peers at it's PE level.. I have a buy set at 150.. see what happens. It's a decent turnaround play, even with a very poor year and bad margins they are still making a load of cash.

And the new CEO is shaking things up at the management level.. needs a bit of time, but nothing has changed that the market doesn't know.

Yep not great, could argue alot is priced in at the current PE though.. I have some readies incase it takes a large tumble.

Share buybacks would be good at this level of they can get them away in the new year.
