Lower CAPEX, lower rent.. however I do agree regarding retail it's very much boom or bust.. only have to look at Debenhams. It's not something you should put all your eggs in. B&M isn't about to go bust, very far from it.. not to say that won't change in the future though you can say that about all retailers..

It's a big IF. As it stands, stores are really quite busy, and the company is making a shed load of cash. Not to say that won't last... Decent hold as part of a balanced portfolio, without chucking all eggs in one basket imo. :)

Because results are out in the next week or so... They can't buy so close.

Sounds like it isn't consistent store by store.. my local one if there are more than 2 people queuing they open more tills.. this has happened the past few times I have been. However I have only noticed this the past month or 2, so perhaps it's a relatively new guideline for store managers and an easy win for consumers.

Basically the wording of the poor article is to make THG look bad and not account for any positives. They are mostly always poorly wrote and flitter week in week out to suit.

That is net debt. If we go net cash on the balance sheet there are still debts but means more cash than debt now on the balance sheet.

I mean tbf the debt is about £600 million including lease liabilities. But once you take away cash, leases and Claremont then net debt is c£200 million.. then if we get another disposal, plus potential for vat refund that will then take it to net cash.

BME have stated the third party review is on the 'accounting error' not the business as a whole... So I wouldn't expect any other skeletons other than an independent explanation of how this came about..

Might be locking at a C£100million reduction in FCF this year.. next year EBITDA should be back up towards c£600million with c10% EBITDA margin and recovery of FCF. All ifs and buts but LFL sales should be recovering by then.. (if the turnaround goes to plan 😅)

I don't think the special dividend will be paid.. if they do have the cash at that time of year it will probably go on a small share buy back as they have been hinting towards following the redomicile.. unlikely 'normal' dividend is cut as it accounts for about £150million. Cutting the special will save the c£150million, as it will also make less FCF this year but not £150million less so there is potential for a small buyback imo.

Also agree it could go lower, of course.. risk reward is decent here though.
