yeah I wouldn't bet against 720. only safe strategy is to top up in small chunks on each drop sub 750

totally agree Wesley. its the same reason ikea are so successful. they have a core mission statement that the whole business is focused on and saga have lost their way on this.

got to agree marineville on the shorters. Two weeks ago I questioned their ability to drop it below 800p, but now I expect them to do it again and possibly break sub 750p. Time is running out for them in my opinion though

If he was doing all this for a legal case he would just carry on banging on the regulators door. hes doing this to stall for time. that can only equate to making a bid. Question is how much is he willing to cough up? is he willing to buy out the existing bond holders in this last window of opportunity before Debenhams takes on another debt pile?

the 2pm deadline is irrelevant. That's sports direct's term. Debenhams terms are if you want the business cough up. the deadline for that is not 2pm today but sports direct will have to make a move or lose 200 million

of course smartie is shorting and hes got his a@se in his hands at the moment along with his sidekicks. he will probably get a short term drop this afternoon but what happens over the next two days is anyones guess.

Lawson; the theory that this is all a ploy to give shareholders a bit back is the most tenuous one ive heard. We have Ashley sitting on a 200 million stake and odey sitting on a significant stake. they couldn't care less about other shareholders but I also think there is no way they will let theirs go either.

Debenhams have laid out a clear term to Ashley: bid and you have to pay back the debt. up to him if he wants to lose 200 million or repay their debt and take the business

do you not expect a rise at around the 790 mark? I expect a quick rise from 790 to 880 and then another sell off. Rinse and repeat

bouncing ball; its more like watching paint dry at the moment! I might be wrong but the way I see this playing out is the shorts are going to keep on until the 795p mark and then it will spike to at least 880 over a few days. just my opinion
