Anything to substantiate that re my question on the other thread? Easy to talk up the jam tomorrow bit because we all know the potential, when is the big issue!

Does anyone know of anywhere to search for updates on ALRA/CLC etc applications? The Dept of Energy and Mines has tracking for applications but seemingly the other conditions are invisible. We know the Hussar re-entry plan is approved subject to agreement with the indigenous peoples and the extended environmental plan. We also know that the same process for Mount Winter has been fast tracked by GEX, presumably because it takes a long time to make progress and the Hussar application seems to have stalled somewhat. We all based a timeline around the old DEMIRS process but that doesn’t seem to apply to the associated conditions.

I’m new to this board and keen to understand the sort of timeline you believe this technology is following. Having spent my career in the motor industry I understand the need for improved battery technology to really move EVs forward. This seems the sort of step change in energy density that will transform EVs from batteries on wheels to proper electric cars with ICE like dynamics but better performance and range too. How long is it going to take to get Li-S from the test bed to serious volume production?

We do seem to have survived the worst of the trolling and de-ramping activities given that things are at a bit of a low for us long-holders. Thankfully the SP refuses to drop to 5p so I’m optimistic we’ll sit out the wait for the permit with no more dramas and nothing to fuel the nay-sayers.

Well it is starting to look like the SP has found its level for now just over the £5 mark. Much as the shorts would welcome a further drop I can’t see that happening however, nor can I see much by way of a further rise without something new to trigger it. The FCA are going to be largely silent until the end of the year at the earliest and until their spouting turns to substance or hot air the threat of unquantified reparations will hang over the industry suppressing any growth. I’m half tempted to double my holding because sure as eggs this is not the right SP for CBG and I can see £6-£8 as a more realistic level, it’s more a case of when and so for now I’m keeping my powder dry and watching from the wings.

That’s propped up my waning faith! I can’t believe this isn’t a really good investment opportunity but sometimes it’s hard to ignore all the negative rubbish being touted around. I have a personal deadline in just over 12 months from now so will be holding on in the hope that this comes good big time by then!

Cheers Miker, good to hear a first hand account rather than the usual made up tripe that gets flung around. I wouldn’t expect to hear anything too negative coming out of the AGM as you’d hope the only attendees would be interested parties and not trolls! Did you sense any disappointment among the directors regarding the rate of progress? I’d expect them to be very up-beat about downstream opportunities!

Sorry, no I won’t be attending. I did think about it but I’d need to catch an expensive train to get there on time and that goes against my principles! Now you’ve asked I’m half tempted to change my mind.

Me neither, with directors buying in you have to feel this is at bottom. The market value has plummeted in the last 5 years which really shouldn’t be the case with sound management. Hopefully we will see some green shoots of recovery soon.

Well anyone selling now is selling at a loss, may as well hang on in there because when it comes, good news will trigger a rally. Anyone looking to buy may as well wait for the placing which looks like it will be at 5p. So with no buy or sell pressure I can only see the price remaining largely static for now with a low point of 5p likely. I’m in at a 7p average so intend to sit tight for now. The lack of trades and silence on the board suggests to me that the pumpers and the de-rampers know this and are saving their vitriol for later.

I would probably consider my wife and I to be typical record keepers (although we’ve never bought a car on finance). We have a filing cabinet that we use for most paper work, anything business or tax related we keep for 7 years. Some stuff, like house records we just keep, other stuff like old bills we dump periodically when the pile gets excessive. Basically we do a spring clean in the office every couple of years. Now granted, there will be some hoarders out there with a garage full of boxes, but there will be others who don’t keep records at all. I’ve had a Quick Look and only house stuff is older than 2015 and we’ve no bills, statements or the like from before 2019. All the old MoTs and service stuff for old cars either went with the cars or got shredded when they went. So, who the hell is going to have load agreements from 2007? Very few I’d suggest and I suspect that any banks/lenders will be making sure they’ve purged their records in line with their retention policy.

Well I admire your optimism (we could do with some of that on here), hope seems to be fading rather with the AGM on Wednesday and no RNS to bring us good news in advance.

Mmmmm, Martin Lewis rather papering his posterior! I can’t see the £18bn as anything remotely right, particularly if £180 commission fee is accepted as fair. I suspect there will be a good few people who are set to receive a few £100s in compensation but only those with ‘unfair’ values likely to get any more. The big saving will be from the costs that the CMCs won’t be able to apply.

Oh and I did check my account, HL still showing the price at 6p with an ask of 6.5p. Mind you, they’re hopelessly slow! Still haven’t had a reply to my formal complaint over the delay reinstating trading after the suspension!

seriously, i’m hoping we do get an rns on monday and the licence is granted because this needs to fly. i’m sitting near enough neutral atm and would be really ****ed if we end up with a placing at 5p.
