AI is simply automation.

Automation has existed for a long time, previously automation used Scripts and CRM.

AI is best used to simplify Complex processes, Agents are good at the soft issues and dealing with customers. Its a tool to improve agent through put. It requires regular investment. If you reduce your headcount before sorting the solution then you don’t know what you are doing!

AI will improve efficiency and throughput but see AI as a service not a solution.

Most people don't understand. I see flatter organisations with less management, agent headcount will be reduced, but the agent still has a key role to play!

Capita won that and was announced in June.

Capita are working on the NI Schools future update.

Remember all the problems were caused by a Greedy company that was part of the Capita sell off pulling a stunt on Software licenses. Capita had to withdraw from the origional tender. Fujitsu won by default.

Needless to say their solution was not fit for purpose!

Lessons have been learned.

Things aren’t always as they are supposed to be. Capita’s PMM are top notch to ensure that additional work and customer changes are always caught and recosted this is pretty normal! Its Capita’s focus on delivery that catches these challenges before go live.

Contracts are always a challenging area, its best to get this sorted before go live!

I agree that Capita had some catching upto do. However on Customer accounts desktop system integrate with backend systems. Upgrades have to be agreed and co-ordinated with other changes in hand. I am used to delivering and designing very large multiple technology projects. There is always a bigger picture to look at. This is not a disagreement is just a different point of view and nothing personal!

When the attack came Capita had a good security profile but as we know very few things in life are perfect!

Not quite true

Capita had just upgraded its security network 12 months prior to the incident. Capita Staff were using Win 10/11 at the time of the incident.

On outsourced contracts some customers were using older software , but did not have the authority to upgrade software because of the existing environments that they integrated into. Capita often pushed for upgrades but it is often part of a bigger picture.

This is common in outsourced contracts.

Can’t disclose too much as I no longer work for Capita. What I can say is that Capita’s speed of corrective measures was amazing and very positive.

They did the right thing and recovered very quickly!

Following a review of its external segments in the second half of 2024, the Group now reports Capita Experience as three subdivisions; Contact Centre, Pension Solutions and Regulated Services.Re-presented to reflect the exit of a small business in the second half of 2024, which in H1 2024 had revenue of £2.9m, an operating loss of £0.3m and an operating cash inflow £0.6m.

Capita will announce its H1 2025 results on 5 August 2025.

This is the exit of a loss making business within the Pension portfolio. Annual losses £300k plus now gone off the books ermantly

This is now the equivalent to £300k Plus PA into the FCF buffers! This will affected the bottom line more than a contract win this year.

Doesn't quite work like that.

Call Centres have multiple stream with different call types.

Simple calls are around 60% with the other 40% in increasing complexity. Its the complex calls where the big savings can be made. Simple calls can be fully automated so automation can make a huge difference based on call profiles.

Additionally there is shift patterns and annual leave/Maternity leave. I have extensive models based in Excel that project savings based on call types. It also calculates number of agents required.

Automation is key to an efficient Contact Centre.

30% is minimum savings!

Co pilot is an automation tool for repetitive tasks and production of forms. This simplifies tasks based on the expertise of the agents.

With contact centre agents efficiency is based on the number of calls completed within say an hour. If you can reduce the number of seconds it takes to handle the call you can increase throughput. Reducing call completion from say 45 secs to 30 seconds will improve throughput by a third!

Secondly when responding to a customer the use of forms can simplify the customer response and reduce the call completition time. CoPlilot does this very efficiently learning from the agent building standard responses!

This would be a hard ask as it shares many of the core resources within Capita. Money spent on development is split across both divisions. Although certain contracts could be sold off this may be difficult. Let’s focus on what is working.

They have completed two big BPO tenders but not sure how things are going. They usually take some time As its coming to end of June its more than likely to be August. August meeting is on the fifth so hopefully one will drop beforehand.

I have high expectations for August as good news will help drive the increase in share price.

I no longer work in Capita (Retired) but have many contacts in the industry so generally know what is going on in the UK!

Fair assessment that matches my expectation. Capita was always going to be a slow transformation but AH has done what he said. He has always said that the business and revenue would always shrink before growing as they transform the business. We just need to get rid of the loss making contracts and the business and revenue will take off!

Agree we will only turn green on FCF in H2 this year

I think by August next year dividends will be announced. However dependant upon the figures at the end of this year they may do a token buyback at end of Q2 26. It is at this point when s possible takeover bid may happen.

The share is good value at current price, and will slowly creep up!
