Nice to see another interested party. This whole company is only the price of a smart London home. They've written down the intangibles mostly to clean up the balance sheet. If you can live with the political issues, it's certainly worth a punt. Note recent takeover of lonrho.

On paper this is very cheap but obviously there is always the political cloud hanging over this one. I bought at 10p but it is a very speculative punt. They need to either dispose of Leopard Rock or get rid of Lonrho as managers. The other components of the company are doing well.

Barring a collapse in the oil price (unlikely) this has to be a dead cert buy. Only priced at one years revenue from Athena all the other interests are in for less than nothing. Buy, hold and be patient.

I'm inclined to agree with you. Looked at this from time to time over a long period and the business model is excellent. I suspect that the short term profits setback has spooked investors but has created a buying opportunity for those in for the long haul. A class act.

are often a mix of shares and cash. If the bidding companys shares are highly rated then it makes more sense to make a bid in shares. There are plenty of cheap oil shares right now and it amazes me that some mid cap oilies (£200-400 mill m/c) don't make an offer for the likes of Trap and Northern.

It's very easy to get drawn in to overcommiting in one share. What is your average price in this one? I thought I was getting a bargain at 17p.It only needs some positive results from one of the other interests to rebound strongly. Having said that I don't feel any great urgency to buy more. It may drift for a while but I will certainly top up on a quiet day.

was only part of the icing on the cake. With strong cash flow and plenty more irons in the fire this has thrown up a great buying opportunity. This is oversold so buyers at the current price will be rewarded this year. I'm convinced!!

Your portfolio is certainly interesting and pretty speccy. Some of these tiddlers get bogged down and don't move for years. I've got 43 years experience of this. Like golds but CEY is a bit of a political hot potato. Raven Russia has been my best performer but at present I have great hopes for Immupharma and Trap Oil. Check em out. Regards SK

Thought I was the only one interested in this company. Think the divi is paid in May. The best performing shares in my portfolio are ALL dividend payers. This should keep a floor under the share price with better times ahead hopefully. Regards S/K

like this one but I'm looking for the catalyst to make the sp perform. So many small cap stocks are undervalued on paper and it needs a bit of goodwill and imagination on the part of management to make things happen. Polo Res is a great example of rewarding shareholders with capital repayments and AGTA has the scope to do this as well from the oil interests. Buy and hold on when the spread is tight.

You;re right. In an undervalued sector this one and Fortune both look the best value. Results due soon.

there you have it. Unless the company manages to lose £30mill. (by no means impossible in the world of oil exploration) all the other interests are in the price for nothing. How can it not go up??
