IJWT so right about golf .. for any age for any class and great for bonding and creating shared memories with kids. One of my sons could hit a ball clean as a whistle over a hundred yards aged 4. As he moved into adulthood we lived a fair distance apart so met up for rounds at The Belfry which were a real treat. He’s never had a lesson just totally natural. He once hit a shot off a soaking wet fairway with his driver over 250 years to the middle of a green; never seen anything like it. I should have pushed him harder as a kid! Great game. We both have shares in PRD!!!

Hi Oldslow .. Hope it’s like the pair of socks trick my Dad played on me when I was 16. He said he would get me one pair of socks for each GCSE “O” Level I got. I got 9 and he drove me to Burtons Menswear and bought me 9 pairs of socks. I couldn’t believe it I thought he was joking! Socks for God’s sake?! We got home and he asked me to mow the lawn. I opened the garage door to get the mower out and bang .. a brand new full set of golf clubs!! Was not expecting that. So I’ll pray for socks again here and hope we hit the jackpot unexpectedly!!

Top slicing is a good strategy. I tend to sell 1/3 once a share price has trebled leaving me with a free run on 2/3 remaining.

I think a ban on shorting and derivatives generally is long overdue .. the financial weapons of mass destruction. I’d probably ban crypto as well while I’m at it.

I invested in DES and FOGL 15 years ago because I read reports that there was potentially more oil down there than in the North Sea. Now all that money is in RKH and BOR.

I was into this many years ago and just checked my average cost is 55p. So still a long way to go but there is a lot of oil down there which is why I invested in the first place just taken much longer than I hoped.

Whilst I have always hoped for 1 billion MV here I would not squeal if we ended up with someone taking us out at 500 million to end this agonising wait! That’s a 15 fold rise from here so a SP of just over £4. That would pay for holidays for what’s left of my life and a new Citroen DS21 !!!!

Would love to have been there. It was so good to meet fellow shareholders last year, a real treat. Sadly the meeting is too close to Christmas this year and too much to get done. Hope it’s informative. They ignored the question I sent in about RF at the last online investor meet! I guess it’s time to let go of the RF issue now not least as the debacle gave me a chance to double my shareholding at around 14p.
