I will stick to the strategy which has served me well these last few years on high risk shares. I’ll sell 1/3 when the price has trebled from my original cost (so £1.50 here as my average cost is 50p); then another 1/3 when it trebles again so £4.50 here etc …

I invested in PRD after reading this on Reddit 3 years ago. Hopefully that analysis is still relevant!

Something else I’ve learned over many years and many mistakes is not to be greedy. My strategy now is that with any share that trebles in value I sell a third; if it trebles again I sell a third of my remaining balance etc…This, for me, strikes a balance between getting my original investment back, making a good profit and not missing out on a share that goes through the roof. I learned it from my experience on Games Workshop where I sold out after it trebled in a short time and then watched as it soared another 50 fold! If I’d only sold just a third initially I would have held onto enough to make a small fortune!!

Agree ElCap sorry if off topic but having seen GGP looking like it really is now coming good I expect same with SAR. At 12/13p SAR is ludicrously low based on progress it has made over last 2 years and I can easily see a bounce back to 50p in next few months; of course it’s very high risk and everyone has to do their own research but worth a look.

Partly depends on your age. The younger you are the more you can afford to keep in higher risk stuff. Do you view GGP as high risk or do you think it is 100% going to return to 40p in next 12 months. I have GGP in my high risk portfolio because it has fluctuated a lot over last few years. I keep 15% in high risk (10 shares), 15% in cash (3 years living costs) and 70% in investment trusts and OIECS

It’s been a long 15 months but finally in the money in GGP!!

It’s all very odd! Buys are exceeding sells but not dramatically and certainly nothing like a couple of weeks ago when buys were exceeding sells by 3-4 x

Me too .. in at 10p .. one of my better investments!! Have switched some to RKH and TRP at an average of 4p but still a big holding in PRD. Please surprise us PG!!

I’m like you ASH .. just need slightly more to get to my average cost at 55p! I started way back in 2010!! I had black hair back then now I’m looking forward to black gold!!

Got totally frustrated with PG here and no longer sure what to believe. Already also invested in TRP and RKH as well as PRD. Have had a big commitment in RKH since 2010 and that is starting to look very promising but not increasing there as I have enough already but I have switched part of my PRD into TRP; have held TRP for many years too but feel more confident in TRP now than PRD. Also HE1 and POW look increasingly interesting.

Hope the motley fools on here constantly posting negativity will soon be given cause to go away.

Based on what we know we have in T&T would anybody be able to estimate the value in p per share of just that asset?
