Frankly that was a shabby and unprofessional response. I have run a few businesses myself over the years and I would have been appalled if one of my staff sent out a message like that. Really does not fill you with optimism .. a part time scientist and a PR guy who doesn’t check his IR emails and when he does he can even spell properly. Unimpressive .. sadly.

Many thanks FaM that’s really helpful. I used to devour Money Management magazine which was excellent and now get Salty Dog investor which is also very good on funds. I’ll take a look at John Baron .. thank you. I keep about 75% of my portfolios in funds and 10% in higher risk stuff that I call “fun money” shares like PRD, RKH, GGP, TRP, SAR etc

Off topic but can anyone recommend a good research tool for picking the best funds to invest in. I look at Trustnet and Morningstar which offer amazing detail and recently came across Yodelar but I wonder if there is anyone who brings the mountain of information and research together in an easily usable format?

It is incredibly frustrating to be invested in a share in which I no longer have a clue what is really going on! There is no logical or intellectual reason to be invested SAR now except for wishing and hoping that the original story that seduced many us way back in 2010/11 comes to fruition. I feel sorry for those like MattyBoy who arrived here more recently but at least he has GGP which I recall he got into at the right time and has enjoyed a great ride (I got in later but at least now have doubled my money there). So much is about timing.

SMR’s were why my wife and I got into Rolls Royce 2 years ago .. one of our better investments!!

Hi Chess I guess those lucky enough to get in at 10p a few months ago will get their 1000% when it hits £1 next year.

£2 a share when oil starts flowing is more than possible. Who would sniff at a 4 fold gain over 4 years. Fantastic!

Something sad about posters who seem to enjoy wallowing in bad news. Just go away and leave proper investors in peace.

ventures and other disputes, often involving amounts in dispute approaching or in excess of

one billion USD”. I’m totally bemused and confused by all this!!! There must be another reason for the annulment?!

This whole thing stinks .. didn’t it effectively get tried twice both times determined unanimously in our favour by international courts and arbitrators? Surely they will have to give reasons. Mind you as I suggested earlier even if this had not been annulled there is no chance the Italians would have paid. As Sir Alex once said “when an Italian tells me it’s pasta on the plate, I check under the sauce to make sure”!!

The value of a full award was never in the share price so in many ways it hasn’t changed anything. Also even if the decision had gone the other way the Italians would never have paid. The most important thing was the insurance policy on which Sam played an absolute blinder .. well done Sam. All this will be irrelevant in 3 years when oil is flowing and the share price is £2.

Is anyone familiar with Dr SP’s career and does he have any track record of securing or completing major deals? ie is he the right man for the job.

May I suggest that for the next 48 hours everyone completely ignores Bold, Porter and their chums. No comments no responses nothing! Starve them completely of the oxygen of interaction.
