Is this week’s downward trend possibly the start of a float down to the 54p open offer price?

As we wait patiently I did some musings about share prices and market caps and very roughly came up with the following numbers to help me put things in perspective. Happy to be corrected if I’ve got things wrong.

Sareum hit a market cap of £275 million in 2021. At the time in today’s money we had 61 million shares so that was £4.50 a share. We now have 137 million shares so reaching a market cap of £275 million would require a share price now of £2 a share. Thoths fabled 28p (old money) a share represented a market cap of just over 850 million which would represent a share price now of £6.20. That target still represents what I would love to get from SAR and it’s not impossible.

16 weeks from 29 May would be 18 September. No negative news to date so hopefully good news not far away. If these studies meet expectations is this likely to have a significant impact on the share price?

This idiotic government think it’s okay to import oil and gas at great financial and environmental cost from other countries in order to meet the shortfall in our energy from renewables but it’s not okay to produce oil and gas on our doorstep. Can anyone explain the logic of this?

Why on earth would any country import oil and gas when we have it on our doorstep. The stupidity of it beggars belief!

Intriguing to try and determine the best time to get in and out of these projects.

It’s still weird looking at the price chart between March 2010 and March 2012 and seeing it so much higher then than it is now even though we are now so much closer to production. Sometimes the markets make no sense at all.

Classic sellers’ regret! Having got in at an average of 80p many many years ago and watched the slide down to 10p I decided to sell 1/3 at 70p a few weeks ago! Hey ho. Finally above water and looking forward to doubling my money on the 2/3 I still hold!!
