RE: Come on Mr Bond10 Aug 2020 23:27
I've been invested here for 10 years also, and have invested at 5p and 74p. I've used the vast majority of this time to build up my stake and average down. I've now got a decent size holding but have decided that's enough, no more. I'm now hoping that my patience will bear fruit, dividends even. AB's brash promises over the years have sometimes felt like borderline fraud, but in hindsight it looks as though it was necessary to keep the company afloat. There is now a more 'buoyant' feel (AB's words) and I will be disappointed if there isn't another decent contract announced before Christmas. My feeling is that there are Local authorities in discussions with AFC in respect of EV chargers. I read recently that Bristol CC are now about to start a second procurement round for their 'Green city' agenda, and won't expect to finalise contracts until the new year. This kind of gives some indication of how long it takes to win contracts with public money. This maybe why AB has asked shareholders not to expect contracts immediately after the roadshow. I can hopefully see some decent contracts coming AFC's way, just a little more patience needed, but after 10 years I'm used to it.
