I've recently seen people saying that these H1 results were "the" crucial pivot point to bigger and greater things.

But before that it was the IM JR . Before that the FSS contract, in all it's various parts.

Each one being more significant when the last one failed to deliver.

So, I wondering what will be the next big thing people will seize upon.

The big tell here, afaic, was that ferry RNS the day before the JR.

A big splash, but when the waters calm down there was nothing really there.

I've not sold any today. fwiw. I will watch those trying to get out ramp it up and just see where it settles.

Depends on how they choose to divide the full contract value over the given time for the contract.

Simplistically, given that £55m over 24 months it would be worth £2.3m per month.

Splitting a year into 6 monthly periods for ease. Or as close as.

So, by the end of the first year we would have been owed for 5 months or £11.5m.

That would be if things had gone to plan in 2022 and no issues with parts availability.

Then for the first 6 months of 2023 there would be a further £13.8m owed.

So by the end of H1 2023 we would have been owed £25.2m.

If they are expeciting £20m for H1 was the balance of £5.2m paid as part of last years accounts?

That would certainly simplify things and then leave a further £13.8m due for H2 2023.

Going into 2024 that would total £39m paid so far and a balance of £16m due on completion.

Yes, the last period is 7 months but I'm expecting them to do better than be "on time and on budget".

Bet if you ask that Alan Green investor pundit bloke that thought the M55 contract was a motorway maintenace contract, he would say somewhere near the Fleetwood Road roundabout.

"Contract value of £55m and contractual payments spread across FY 2022, FY 2023 and FY 2024. Whilst work on the contract commenced in August, the Company has not been able to undertake certain key workstreams during the fourth quarter of FY 2022 due primarily to a lack of material availability and specialist Original Equipment Manufacturers' parts, which have been impacted by global supply chain issues. As a result, management expects approximately £20m of revenues from the M55 contract to be deferred into H1 FY 2023."

Evening TTNY., and a lovely evening it is. Now this is a first, I'm actually sat on the wall directly opposite the yard to type this. The distinct smell of an estuary fills the air and gulls cry out in the distance. The sun is going down just to the left of the big dry dock building that, this time, has its large sliding partly doors open. Occasionally there is a blinking red light from something inside. Guessing one of the gantry cranes on the upper mazanine level. A fork lift has just backed out of a smaller door to the right. It too dark to see any detail inside but there is activity going on.

Interesting thoughts and something similar I've had myself. The announcement did kinda come from the left field and surprised quite a few. Local council and mp's alike. From what I've been told in the last few days. The IoS council seemed to dismiss it as just another unsolicited tender for the route and referred it on to the DfT. Whether it has been done in collusion with the IoSSC is a possibility. There is also the fact that BMT, our FSS partner designed their replacement vessel. Would we be stitching them up as well.? With our "proposal"? Was it all done just to shake things up and get the powers that be to finally make a decision. Don't know, tbh. What I do know is I'm getting hungry and I'm twenty odd minutes from my tea. So. Tbc. :)

Just had a quick look and I certainly have the presentation from earlier in the year (2018) albeit in PDF form.

Having changed PC's a few times since then I was surprised I had copied it over to this latest one. I do have other stuff backed up on external hard drives so I wouldn't be surprised if I have others. I'll have a closer inspection later tonight.

Yeah, I did start picking back through the ....... But gets a bit boring, tbh. So started looking forward to see if there is anything announced with regards to outstanding contracts and such.

There used to be an option to search by recommend posts but that may have been on the old iii boards. Quite helpful for filltering out some of the noise sometimes.

And when they had finished building the two "carverns" they were then going to move onto the caverns. ;)

The details on this site are quite old as regards previous partners and such, but I believe the specs should still be the same.
