Not sure where this figure comes from mol42 but it's wrong. Listing rules state that shares owned by anyone with over 5% of the equity are not in public hands so that amounts to 35%. On top of that, any II holding less than 5% could hardly be classed as a PI, so add Unicorn's 3% plus any other IIs who don't have a disclosable interest, of which there could be dozens.

Thomascromwell, just filter him - which I assume is what most people do. Don't resort to the kind of abuse which makes you look the loser.

The close period for director buying is 60 days prior to the publication of an annual financial report – so the drawbridge is still open for SBTX management. But they can't buy because they have inside information…which seems likely to be the case for the foreseeable future. And PIs can't buy because they don't know WTF they would be investing in. Meanwhile, Mark Dixon has acquired 25m shares from somewhere, only a small proportion of which could have been sold by PIs.

Excellent trading update - but ADVFN's Market News adds some thoughts of its own which read misleadingly as though they are included in the RNS:

He's a man after my own heart, along with all owner-breeders. I know and have backed some of his stud's progeny. But I don't see an obvious link – unless he is also the same Mark Dixon who heads up equity trading at Barclays.

And I would still like to know how he got 24m shares. Ashman said he had 5 buyers at 17p and it doesn't seem likely that they have all sold to Dixon at 14-16p.

Is this the guy who is now our new largest shareholder?

I assume he must have got prior approval from Superdrug for the pack design, dull (and cheap) as it is, so they wouldn't have had any grounds to reject the whole consignment. Looks like Ashman didn't invest much of the £4m there. But maybe that would be prudent if he knew that a new formulation and new packs were imminent.

In one of the images, the words "Acne Support" are printed large at the top of the pack. Not sure what that means though…"support" sounds fairly uninspiring; but maybe there are regulatory reasons why they couldn't make a more eye-catching claim. "Acne Cure" would be too much but "Acne Treatment" would be better than "support". Even "For Acne" would be better.

AquaeSulis01, while I agree that SA is a good talker, I can't agree that his oral communications have been good. He has misled PIs (and the Lemming) too often – either intentionally or through ill-advised over-confidence.

I will never forget his feigned outrage at the Singer note and his false promise to get it corrected and reissued – only for him then to have the nerve in his next RNS to flag up that same Singer note as the latest official market guidance on revenue.

He should not be getting away with such contemptible treatment of PIs.

And making stuff up about my honesty smacks of desperation. If you have an opinion, post it as such – but don't delude yourself or others by misrepresenting your views as facts.

Mol42, most PIs don't bother to vote. Perhaps they will be motivated this time. Also, remember that there are some cheesed-off IIs this time around who were angry about being marginalised for the Superdrug raise. If one or more of the IIs votes against the BoD, the game could well be up for the chairman and CEO.

Disco_Dan, sadly SBTX no longer cares about you or any other PIs. They are flush with cash and must believe that their insiders will pony up more when asked. But it's the PIs who create the liquidity which causes SPs to rise so it's a blinkered approach – especially as growing numbers of PIs become disillusioned by the mushroom treatment and the cavalier attitude to fundraising. We are still waiting to hear how we are going to benefit from the recent 10% dilution.

But we do still have some, albeit reduced, voting power if we can organise ourselves and the AGM is fast approaching.

Activist investors are mostly good news, Toyin. You and I are activist investors in our small way. They may agitate to carve a business up and/or change the BoD but ultimately that's in the interest of all shareholders. I would be quite happy to see Latitude take a big stake in SBTX.

That is a truly massive investment in Croda by Standard Latitude and could see their SP rise to over 3,000 again. Let's hope SBTX can share the ride.

Perhaps Mr Market feels that the price paid for Advantage NRG in June (up to £15.7m inc possible defcon and earn-out) was a bit rich. Time will tell.

Good to see HERC making inroads into the water infrastructure sector. The contracts announced today should be the first of many.

The product looks pretty good, if fairly basic, but it doesn't seem to be gaining much traction if the elevate_io YouTube channel is any guide. I think that a good proportion of creatives who were interested in elevate_io or had already signed up to it would be subscribing to the YouTube channel – but only 169 people (of whom possibly 50 or more could be Blackbird personnel, associates, competitors and shareholders) had subscribed by lunchtime today. That isn't inspiring, imho.

Perhaps cloud editing isn't so compelling for solo video creators who have plenty of free editing options on their PCs and phones…
