If my memory serves me right JLP has an IP on a very specific recovery process.
I had a quick look on the website and it isn't specifically mentioned, though i remember it has a specific name (which i can't remember... ;-))
If a process / equipment is that good and unusual you protect it (IP) so that would leave me to believe we have something quite special / exceptional that other aspiring metal recovery companies don't / can't have...
Also Leon has made a big point in his interviews about analysing the tailings to ensure they are right for the process & Jubes, and that's the beauty of having the mineral at surface.

I imagine that increasing Copper prices and the testing of the tailings and the specific processing required will form part of the formula to asses recovery viability.

I am not a fan of how JLP was described in the article.
However, answering your question the reason i am not selling my c3m shares is the same reason you may want to consider buying back in - obviously DYOR :-) headlines (note that there are people on this board far more aware of specific detail)...

Yes i agree with your view of the situation, which if you peel it back it comes down to the post code, potential economics of the mine and the type / size of resource this is appearing to be. CB is the route to gain the value - i don't think the walk down the garden path applies at all here. The biggest concern would be raising more cash for (yet unknown) extended drilling before forcing AAL's hand through decision to mine or engaging (sale) with an alternate interested party. I certainly don't think CB in terms of his age will want to mine.

Let's all be patient - though that's easier said than done...
For me i have a number of mining related (Cu, Au) stocks that have risen over the last 6-8 months and am in a good place. However, i have invested initially for a 2-3 year time frame. So when i see markets doing well and i am waiting on the change in my SP's (due to data, updates, Quarterly figures) it is very very frustrating. To the extent it makes me feel like trading (which would be a big mistake).

You are going to find less appetite for early interest rate rises when so much money is already spent and planned to be spent on post Covid economic recovery (Biden trillions et al). I personally think rates will be slow to rise and we will run "hot" for a while yet.
Reason for delay - debt (government particularly in this case ) becomes much more expensive...
Additionally, there is also some thought that we are seeing a temporary spike in inflationary pressure...
I am not an economist but this is what i have read and heard (my son works in the city).

The negative speculation on this board comes from impatience (we all want the quick return...), the lack of SP movement is because real results and data (3D plans, assays, independent reports) all take time and if i was a II i would want to see this data before piling in and elevating the SP. But i am not a II i am like most here a PI who speculate - just like CB - so why don't we all take a breath and say this researched gamble is heading the right way, and recognise until there's independent evidence / report (already planned) then the share price will sit where it currently sits. This SP will not continue to go vertical based on the discovery of an extended Cigar shaped porphyry months ago so lets all be patient and wait for CB's judgement on when and how to present the extensive data which for him and us will take the SP northwards.

The cigar, marrow, cathedral, has gone replaced by a cats head with ears.
This data has totally transformed the potential of this asset - 3D version is going to look really good.
Exceeding buy back requirements, shallow & economical dig with infrastructure, and close to Sydney.
What's not to like about CB's plans...

Totally agree with this angle.
The decision to mine clause allows CB to take "control" of the potential sale, "put a ribbon round it" were his words...
Rather than waiting for somebody including AAL to bite by churning out results month after month.
An independent company allows CB to achieve what he has said previously.

If you reflect on the Racecourse journey so far - what bit of the ultimate outcome is CB not addressing ?
Are we more or less likely to achieve the plan of having assets that will interest AAL or others ?

Caerus Mineral Resources (the potential JLP Cypriot JV partner). They had an operational update - RNS out today...
"· Prioritisation of prospective copper-gold Joint Venture (JV) projects underway by way of a re-assessment of each of the Company's 16 candidate sites against Jubilee Metals Group JV criteria"
So things are moving along. If my memory serves me right this potential JV partner has the rights to over 50% of historic mines.

Really appreciate you putting your thoughts to this - excellent work.
Adds some potential context to the RNS (and fully appreciate it's your view).
I had reason randomly to email a Aussie Geo and he was aware (early doors) of the XTR drilling - his view at that beginning was the data coming from in the future would need to be very good for this to fly, he felt there was a bit of "nearology" going on...
For me this clearly shows we have the size and that when the RNS says...
"Phase 2 drill programme early in the 3rd Quarter of 2021 with the objective of drilling out an Inferred Mineral Resource in excess of 2 million tonnes of contained copper equivalent."
You can now see this really playing out.
