Well I suppose it wouldn't be POG if on the day of the release of some highly promising results you weren't later obliged to acknowledge a biblical flood descending on operations! Still it sounds like they've handled it well and these weather events are anticipated. I'll be a lot happier when the debt gets significantly eroded but things are certainly looking up. Surprised the board hasn't got a lot busier, if things stay on course we might even start attracting the LSE trolls!!

It's out - after the quickest of skims - 2018 = stabilisation 2019 = growth, let's hope we can start to make a serious dent in that debt in 2020 and maybe a return to dividend isn't unthinkable. Please Mr Putin don't start WWIII.

Blimey one of the more surprising developments on this board is that Jez has become one of the more lucid posters :) Can't work out if it's because the general tone has hit rock bottom or not but well done on keeping your head while so many are staring at the SP and rendering themselves completely incapable of objective thought. Probably managed to either patronise or be condescending to (or both) to virtually everyone on here so not expecting any fan mail!! Suffice to say there are bigger political factors at play that will help us move this strategic asset, throw in the disturbances in the Gulf, Russian influence in other producing regions and I think complex world events might give us more than a handy leg up here.

I'd be wondering about that Spike - no doubt PH has been aware of the Milton situation for longer than us and while I don't think he could hold back the flow rates from the market because of their sell-off I'm fairly certain he wouldn't want the much anticipated work programme announcement to be overshadowed by an avalanche of selling. This is certainly created an opportunity for anyone who may have missed the boat to get in cheaply here.

Despite my disappointment with the greed displayed by our underachieving team some of these posts are just crazy, lashing out in frustration. I'm probably typical of most LTH's here having always been uneasy with JP's style but still a believer in the company's prospects going into the three well programme. We hit a target - it didn't flow, simple as that. I won't go over the questions about TE-11 just to say we are where we are and if Parsons can deliver an acceptable disposal he will to some extent be vindicated. If he can't after telling us it's 'an exciting time for shareholders' then his character is in the gutter. Until then while retaining the right to have the odd smile at the situation I'm reserving judgement. I still believe had the success followed failure rather than the other way round this board would be buzzing - sentiment, sentiment, sentiment - no bearing on the LE.

Quite agree and I am an admirer of his calm, cautious style particularly as I am suffering from a rampy CEO elsewhere (as Bigbench will know!). I do always remind myself though that these are PR interviews, not the Today Programme.

I'm not sure these staged interviews impress so much these days Bigbench. I certainly wasn't impressed by whoever did Paul's make-up before putting him under the lights - he should sue!! Assuming the figures are good, when they come this will set sail again. Confidence will also increase on the coming drills but there is a flip side to that which seems to be keeping the brakes on.

Somebody who was clever enough not to take options with an inconvenient strike price.

Thanks for posting Whosnext, only halfway through reading but looks very positive. Sounds like they are processing the first batch of 3rd party concentrate, we know from the April results they were in discussions so it seems they have secured a supplier. Will be interesting to see if we get some figures on this new revenue stream soon.

To be fair if they seriously want to send a convincing message that there is a plan B then breaking up the senior management team at this stage could be an own goal.

I suppose he would have a role to play in the presentation of technical data to suitors. He could also advise them not to drill here, here, here and here.

I hadn't noticed before but the noble 29% cut is an 'aggregate' figure. Does that suggest that some Directors have taken a bigger cut than others? Perhaps Brian has taken a large cut as we're not actually exploring and James hasn't taken a cut at all after all he is 'coming into his own' now which must be true as he said so...

I keep getting haunted by a vision of JP sunning himself at one of Marco's villas sending off the occasional email here and there. Wouldn't want to waste that annual leave would you, particularly with the wage cuts finally coming in next month:)

The reason I'm surprised is that they've already tested the well and established the optimum rate, an announcement mid-April stated that production (albeit restricted) was supporting the results. This should have been a routine adjustment of choke to the previously established level and a reasonable period to confirm stability. It also doesn't help that PH stated over two weeks ago that the work programme would be announced 'shortly', I know on an operational level two weeks is nothing but in this market it's an eternity. PH has done brilliantly so far I just hope with the change of identity from steady and cautious to an accelerated work programme with the AIM addiction to issuing more and more shares he isn't slipping into the habit of over promising. Still confident.

I'm a little surprised that we haven't had confirmation of increased production rates by now. I have huge confidence in PH and would gladly swap my larger exposure to other AIM shares for my much smaller holding here but BLOE are going to have to buck the golden rule on AIM that delays are never, ever a portent of good news. Perhaps when they come we will know for certain that BLOE is a very different type of company (perhaps not to be on AIM for long). Until then PI's will continue to believe while the market will likely continue to mark it down.

...... I think the constant JP bashing isn't doing anyone any favours I had to smile when in a moment of weakness I read JP's profile on the website, "Specialist in restructuring, funding and growing small listed upstream companies". Where to start?

Couple of big ones to look at now - good to see POG in demand after so many tough years. Still need to get the debt down obviously and the 'Russian discount' will continue to be something of a millstone but definitely looking up here.
