I have been thinking for a while now that the prospect of legal action could precipitate a deal where Slovenia and AST come to an arrangement in which we're compensated for yielding the licence, basically paid to go away. It's clear that the authorities have no interest in producing their own gas and for whatever murky reasons prefer the hegemony of Russian imported gas, the award of the processing facility ahead of the stimulation permit was proof for me that they're cynically manipulating us into an impossible situation. We're obviously turning our attention to Croatia and the suspension of the compressor order while hedging our bets, suggests that they've decided it's not the solution to the hostile environment in Slovenia. I don't blame the civil servants for being sensitive to in-country opposition to stimulating the wells but hopefully we can prove that ARSO has strung us along to such an extent that our huge investment should to some extent be returned. The ideal scenario would be that this gives us sufficient cash to pursue Buggenhagen's stated strategy - "the future of the Company lies in regional diversification of the portfolio". If further dilution can be avoided could even be quite exciting....

Very good Lawrence, to continue the theme if not the humour being a POG investor has felt more like paying a pound of flesh over recent years. Things are definitely on the turn here though and we should get some numbers on the third party processing soon. I think it's worth reposting the Tamesis research link - thanks whoever first posted. Amazing what some people are happy to openly reveal about themselves on these boards - one characteristic of sadistic behaviours is being so motivated to inflict suffering on others that it's often done even when at a personal cost. I've always thought a bit of moaning on here was simply cathartic, I've certainly done enough over the years. But some of it recently reveals such despair and has become so dark that I'm convinced people are trying to ease their own pain by hurting others. If you are genuinely getting emotional benefits by enlarging others suffering, even if the cause is something you share then it could be time to get help. I hear Brian is a good listener, time he did something useful.

Stilbite I agree that PH has some explaining to do but do note that the April figures are in ‘bbl’ so include all fluids. The 1000 figure is not bopd which we have been given since actually producing. I do think this could have been made more explicit.

RB you're always disappointed with POG, I'm surprised you still hold, it must be torment! In the Tamesis research their analyst saw the first batch of 3rd party concentrate ("processing expected to take place in July"). The 23rd July update confirmed this processing has commenced but it's obviously too early to put meaningful figures on it. Note also that "Payment is on the basis of a percentage of contained gold, with deductions for sulphur content and other deleterious elements", so as I understand it the precise payments and upside to POG will be unclear until the processing is completed.

Spike, April figures were given as 'bbl' so I assume include the drilling fluids. In the production figures from last Fri they have been explicit about the actual bopd separated which partly accounts for the difference. I think this has been widely misunderstood, as ever on these boards probably mischievously.

Ha ha more like the letters page in 'People's Friend' or 'Saga Magazine'. If you can bear one more car related disaster in reply to Crude and Tincan. A few winters ago during a cold snap my 3 and 4 year old boys took to copying me deicing the windscreen by scraping the ice off the doors with their plastic sand pit shovels. The car was quite old so I wasn't worried about the shovels until the morning they couldn't find them but did find......... yes a broken concrete roof tile.

I can remember doing 'Bob-a-Job' in the seventies and a bloke gave me a dodgy can of industrial-strength creosote to treat his fence. He didn't provide any protective clothing and I got burns on my hands, arms and legs, when he saw me he was more concerned about his car as it was a windy day and I'm glad to say the motor had suffered the same fate. Can you imagine the fall out nowadays?

No doubt, a rise like this also gets the shorters interested. Can this rise purely be down to the interview, he certainly looked more energised than usual, but 50% because LR has perked up at last?? Total speculation but with samples going to third parties the scope for leaks does increase, not alleging anything as I'm certain WA are a highly professional outfit but just wonder if the deviated drill sample has produced something unexpected? Could they inadvertently have had a result away from the high-grade target? Good ramp anyway....

To be fair if you want to read some spin take a look at the 17th April RNS. I'm a holder but not happy and would like a clear explanation of how we got from that to the 26th July data.

Distinctly got the impression that the current drill will be our last if the metallurgical sample proves what they have already observed in the historic core ("fundamentally because we've seen what's in it" says LR). Should then have sufficient indicated resource from the high-grade core to go to market. Wish I had a mole in Truro!

Well naturally the focus will shift to the oncoming campaign but you knew that didn't you. I do think PH will have to be a lot more careful of what he says in the future. While I'm a fan of his measured delivery the content can suddenly drift to rampy teasers. I keep thinking about the comment about his phone constantly ringing with enquiries from industry players after the testing rates. PI's will naturally want to know what those conversations were about - JV's, Farm-in's, buyout?? Or were they just saying 'well done old bean'.

Well said Jack, it's notable that all these posters of despair seem to have group amnesia of our existing economic asset. Mind you I bet JP was kicking himself when he heard PH of BLOE describe his company as the 'poster boy' in Georgia just before reporting disappointing flow rates. I imagine JP in complete torment that even with his hubris he missed out on that soundbite!

Have to agree with that. Not to say that this isn’t still a good investment but PH’s integrity has taken a serious hit for me. I’m always wary of the paid for PR set plays with interviewer and interviewee seemingly in a grinning match but I genuinely believed that PH was determined to avoid the familiar over promise / under deliver routine so rife in AIM. Seems the temptation to push the upside in the build up to the equity raise was too great. Posters with deeper pockets than me with access to the best lawyers may be bold enough to put that in a different way if you follow?
