Damp squib old bean. What does the crystal ball say tonight?

No problem with the gender reassignment Trade, I'm reasonably open minded. Deals done on long averages not spot prices anyway. I've noticed a few times during the rise a major institution upping their targets for silver and gold only for the price to be wacked a day later. Hmm wonder what's going on there? Still confident that the trend with silver is going to be historic.

I suppose for the sake of balance as I've recently been excitedly posting the silver price rises - it's had a bit of a shocker today :)

Would be a good start if we could hear from the new board. I had mentioned the 'Russian discount' in the past and it never proved a popular post unsurprisingly. I always saw it as a slight drag on the SP just hope it doesn't manifest itself as a complete shafting. Something from the board would help along with some reassuring appointments.

I'm hoping they will have done the borehole by now as it was planned back in Feb. Seem to remember LR telling me back in Feb / Mar that the CV work restrictions wouldn't affect our ability to drill it but I can't find the email now. Perhaps the piezometers will be an ongoing thing, I'm guessing you probably have to continue to monitor them during construction and when it's operational?

Numpty mate - plus the Geotechnical Survey will have a further positive effect on pushing what is already low Capex down further hopefully we'll get a new SS which will input the Geotechnical data which we didn't have in 2018. Also would love the NPV to be updated after the new JORC as that was pre indicated and obviously pre 025 as well. Current NPV way out of date.

I think they're referring to the new JORC resource update that has been commissioned.

To be fair it's a reasonable question why 10 months on from a formal sales process being initiated nothing has happened. Personally I'm very excited by the SP but I still feel this is a gamble. I have worse performing shares that I have much more faith in. Time will tell...

I see it as Everest throwing the gauntlet down to the old board. If there's nothing to hide and all that. If the forensic investigation does find malpractice in the last three years then we might one day be looking back at Everest as a white knight. I concede this is the rose tinted view of the position we're now in.

Ha ha well done Rusty, enjoyed the gallows humour. Thinking about it the helicopter was a masterstroke of foresight. Easy way to ferry all these Directors in and back out again.

Hopefully a statement from the new board soon should calm some nerves. I must admit I voted for continuity on the 'better the devil you know' basis but the fact that the old board wanted us to vote against the forensic investigation was hardly reassuring. I realise they could argue it would be a costly waste of time but it does appear that they were nervous about it. Let's hope its a new beginning but the uncertainty isn't going to help in the short term.

Could people stop spreading misinformation about the forensic investigation taking three years. It's likely to be lengthy but the resolution was to "Review all transactions ..... in the three years preceding the date of this resolution". So it's an independent review of the last three years.

Good spot that Trade seems they've added the 10th to National Women's day on the 9th, so unless Brikz has forced their hand on the EU lolly I guess we can rule out tomorrow for a routine RNS. Got enough to worry about tomorrow anyway with POG, don't ask.

I assume that by 'compensation' it means that POG pay Tamesis for the coverage. Still I remember their last target of 26p was published when we around 10p so let's hope they can repeat the trick with 50p!

I certainly don't recall any EU grants ever being RNS'd though the possibility was always in presentation material ever since we acquired Toral. As I said earlier I found AUS$71,310 under 'Other Income' in the 2018 annual report. Any accounting experts know what that could be? Did we get anything for disposal of the SA asset?

Not saying it's definitely in the bag but I don't think they would have RNS's it unless they knew it was coming. I would hope the EU see it as investment in jobs, strategically, future tax receipts and crucially Toral will make its own small contribution to balance of payments for the EU. Every oz of metal we produce is an oz less incoming from China.
