Very exciting news - one major problem though is that Affimers have never been tested in humans.... first trials were due to start this summer.

Anyone wanting to rush results through needs to listen to the March interview that was posted here earlier, in particular the last 3 minutes. You can put Youtube videos through conversion software to create a transcript which is really handy for digesting info. I've done this & the last section where Richard Marsden talks about Data being King is pasted below.

You cannot rush the trial to a conclusion if you want quality data.

Why is it embarrassing? By all accounts the drug has significant potential, if the trials are successful then the share price will not be at 55p. £7 won't happen immediately, but IMO it could certainly get there by the end of the year with emergency FDA approval etc.

Yep, 35m market cap for a potential treatment is nuts - especially when it’s at stage 3 trial...

Downtrend looks to have set in on Euronext again, at what point do things reverse? Last time we saw this was 21st April when it dropped back to £2.70 before bouncing to £3.80 in the same day...

Question to stir some debate : assume NCYT are sitting on a cash pile of £50m right now. What would you be looking to do with it?

Personally, I think acquiring a private company that has a promising rapid POC test would a fantastic piece of business as we could then distribute via our international supply chains and ensure we are covering all angles of the testing market.

There are many other strategic options that they could pursue with cash in the bank, but what would be your priority if you were Graham Mullis?

Prior years gross margins were 85%, so even adjusting for distributor royalties you are looking at 60% + margins on a shed load of revenue. I'd like to think we'll get more detail in the final results...

I reckon they are in the final stages of finalising the dPCR test & are keen to release the news alongside the 2019 results... Let's see!

Ridiculous how quickly it’s been taken down from 37p yesterday afternoon...

Yep, check the trade for 224840 @35p at 9.41am, the last three digits tie back to Adam Norris's holding on the first TR1 this morning (2,986,840). So it looks like he was done selling then, and in the period since we've either had a new seller or PI volume hasn't been sufficient to clear the overhang.

I think we're in an overhang situation rather than a new seller, indeed this afternoon we teetered on the edge of a breakout only for a couple of chunky sells to kill the momentum. Either way, one day closer to news...

It NT to buy more than 10k shares at 35p, so the seller isn't about IMO, as you could buy as many as you wanted on Friday.

Nothing wrong with discussing both when there is no new news to digest... 3 x delayed sells have appeared, 45k shares sold just as they raised the bid, buying then died off and it's fallen back for now. I agree it should much, much higher on the next news!

What was really odd was that they raised the bid to 37p whilst dropping the ask, now it's fallen away it does indeed look like a big sell has gone in. Possibly a big buy followed by a big sell? Irritating as momentum was just starting to build.

It's tactical to try and stop buyers as it makes all of the buys appear as sells - classic MM tactics to trick PI's into parting with their shares.

Was thinking the exact same yesterday Torre, they recently raised £600k and had £1m on the balance sheet at the last interims, so it's certainly feasible!

Yeah I can see funds buying in here too....when they execute the inevitable placing required to support the business! It'll be a great buy at that point, but too risky right now IMO.
