Jatw. .. snap, have held those two funds for a few years now. They have recovered well after the recent drop . Wife and daughter have bought recently so probably the kiss of death...
Suspect the Bonitas timing has not helped the sp . Very few companies are going to make a profit in the coming months. The shorts will try to drive the sp into the ground .The next quarter will be interesting when the government announce a recession. Sitting on my hands for the foreseeable.. g.l
JAMGLAS... a recession has been basically confirmed by the Chancellor this morning and it could be a bad one. There could be a lot of bargains in the coming months.. I tend to buy and hold for the longterm so may sit on my hands for a while....
Short selling....Bonitas" is defined as goodness, integrity, moral excellence. Ha ha.. they must have made a fortune today. Nothing less than shocking.
JAMGLAS. Nothing obvious jumps out. Could be as simple as a broker re-rating . As to when and if to get back in is anyone’s guess. Solid business but I have a feeling there is a bumpy road ahead. Have averaged down on some of my other holdings but sometimes wonder if I have jumped in to early! Time will tell. G.l.
Agree, the rns doesn’t look that great and compounded by the the news at the end. At least Oxb have tried to put a figure on it which is fairly small at the moment..fingers crossed.
Well, actually just averaged down. In for the long term so expect a few more down days. In for a penny and all that. Spain just announced a major recession on the horizon. Not exactly a surprise.
Surely this cannot have come as a shock! Divi will not be paid out but that money is still sitting in the coffers. If the market steadies next year as Pokerchips and Thedetector point out the divi can restart. Aviva is in a very sound position financially. I was looking forward to a wee bonus but in the grand scheme of things it is peanuts as my portfolio is decimated at the moment. Keep the faith or jump ship.
Reckon the divi will go this time. Understandable.. nobody knows how long this situation is going to last and the state of the economy at the far side so better to have a little extra money in the bank. Don’t get me wrong I want the divi but these are exceptional times. The bod will be guided by the rest of the industry.
Same old, same old ! The funds were to be used for further exploration work at the company's Clontibret Clay Lake and Glenish gold targets in Ireland. Huh! Clontribrid was drilled 20 years ago. Upgrading to chocolate biscuits perhaps.
RE: Banks urged to scrap billion-pound payouts26 Mar 2020 10:33
They may honour this dividend but cancel future divi’s. If they were to cancel at this stage it could be very detrimental to the sp ! Perhaps wishful thinking.
Interesting to see how much we drop tomorrow ? Banks are reasonably well financed thankfully. Will be further market jitters as the virus reaches its peak in the coming weeks.
With an 8p dividend coming unless this can break the downward cycle this will definitely be heading for sub £1. Perhaps foolish but I averaged down this morning. Getting my timings wrong with everything at the moment.
Not a holder but what a difference a couple of years make... looked at this a couple of years ago and was very tempted. Turned into a nightmare. Hope it survives but can’t see how? G.l all.
