Nice to see a build up to Wednesday and then another good set of results.

They have scudded the sp! We need the brokers to revise their figures downwards and this will fly. How can so many brokers be wrong for so long? Keep the faith..

Not sure what is going to shift this old dog in the right direction and I agree the sp is troubling but as Nuri says the divi is one of the best out there. It is generally a slow moving stock with no shocks resulting in a good nights sleep. My biggest holding and unless the interest rates hit 6/7% i am buying more and staying put. Holding back until the new tax year and top up the ISA. Keep the faith....

Divi reinvested this morning at £2.67p. Normally reinvested on a high then it drops ...Good day at the office.

Check in here every now and again and it’s like Groundhog Day. Nothing ever changes. Nearly bought about 20 years ago when I saw them testing in the Keady area but it has never moved on from “ the testing Phase.”

Looking forward to 2020 and all it’s ups and downs! In general, from what I have read, the markets appear to be quite upbeat and expect a good year for the Ftse . Let’s hope that with all the expansion Oxb can pull in a couple of big new contracts.
Plenty of fingers in the pie and as you say we ain’t getting any younger...

Aviva was in the spotlight following a report in The Times according to which activist investors were thought to be turning their attention towards a full break-up of the company's life and general insurance arms.

The news was perhaps not unexpected. We are going to need a big new collaboration to shift the sp. The wage bill and overheads for this puppy are huge and I feel that the expected revenues have not lived up to the hype. This is a manufacturing company which is going to need to show some serious profit before any major uplift. Been here forever so a few more years is no problem.

Possibly a sell ?

This is my biggest holding. The divi is a gift and there are no sleepless nights with this share. Unfortunately it seems unloved by the market at the moment but that should change, hopefully..

At least we haven’t returned to the very low 400’s .

As Diane Abbot would say it’s only numbers, Aviva and Labour are real winners. She has started a new trend wearing two left shoes..!

Markets very happy today. Thought we would see a lift but even better to see some clarity for the future , hopefully..

Pets sp seems to have caught the Xmas feel good factor. The proof of the pudding will be if it can sustain this rise over the coming months....fingers crossed for good trading over Christmas.
