Astra Zeneca, the pharma company , said a three-dose course of its Covid-19 vaccine was effective against the Omicron variant, citing data from an Oxford University lab study.

Yep, you hit the nail on the head. This is indeed a rudderless ship being led by a clueless crew. The next few months will be very telling…

Symphony Environmental Technologies PLC (AIM:SYM) has unveiled a new range of anti-bacterial gloves that it says can kill Covid-19 antigens in just ten minutes.
That compares with a kill rate within 24 hours previously.
"We are not currently aware of any competitor gloves offering this combination of speed and protection," said Symphony.
The plastics group added that revenues in the year to end December would likely be flat at £9.8mln after delays to contracts meant £1.8mln of expected revenues had been pushed back.
Operating losses would be £800,000 it said against £600,00 a year ago, it added.
Symphony added that its pipeline of d2p technologies and PPE/gloves currently totals over 100 projects for which management estimate if successfully commercialised would generate in excess of US$40mln of recurring annual revenues.

I see the bod are spending ( wasting) another 250 million. Suppose it helps with the Xmas bonus. Never seen or experienced a share buy back that has benefited the private investor. As others have stated the buyback so far has shown great results ! Not!
Aviva have sold a lot of profitable businesses in the hope of streamlining their business. But why? Awash with cash but absolutely no idea what to do with it. Priceless…as Homer would say, Dooooooooohhhhhhhhh !

RNS a bit woolly. Seems to be good news but no royalties and no figures! Market does not seem impressed unfortunately and hasn’t reversed the decline.

The first case of Omicron was announced on 24 November by South Africa, with the first positive sample dating back to 9 November. This old dog has been dropping since early November. If Astra announce that their vaccine isn’t effective or isn’t as effective then we are screwed…. Fingers and toes…

Hope you are well. Yep, it’s quite concerning seeing the drop. Don’t think it’s anything to do with the Indian investment but who knows? From what I have read from the Advfn board they are also at a loss to explain the drop.
On the bright side if the sp keeps dropping at the current rate we could be buying very cheap shares soon.
Off topic, I had my first two Astra Zeneca vaccines without any adverse symptoms but I got the Moderna booster on Tuesday and have had pain and swelling at the injection site, fatigue, muscle pain and a two day headache. All for the greater good….

AstraZeneca and its partners have released for supply two billion doses of their COVID-19 vaccine to more than 170 countries across every continent on the planet in the last 11 months.

Approximately two-thirds of these have gone to low- and lower-middle-income countries, including more than 175 million doses delivered to 130 countries through the COVAX Facility.

This milestone comes just over 18 months after AstraZeneca and Oxford University formed their landmark partnership for the global development and distribution of a not-for-profit COVID-19 vaccine for the world, and less than 12 months after its first emergency authorisation in the UK.1

The Oxford vaccine is used in more than 170 countries around the world!

Anyone have any ideas concerning the recent decline. The last 4 weeks has seen a steady decline on relatively low volumes. Was the sp over inflated prior to the drop? I wouldn’t have thought so as the last results were good. No shortage of funds either. Sometimes get a steady decline in the sp prior to an offer for the company but that’s maybe wishful thinking…. Time will tell. Surely the bod and major investors must be concerned.
