The market seems happy at the moment and the dividend going forward, with the reduced shares, should increase making this a desirable share to the Divi hunters. Still a lot of outside factors that can affect the sp and profits will be reduceddue to the recent sale of assets resulting in a smaller business. But that is not going to be a surprise.Was going to sell some recently as a bit top heavy but will wait and see how this all pans out and if the sp remains reasonably steady will reinvest the £1.

If wishful thinking could drive a share price this should be through the roof..

top hat…only trying to explain in layman’s terms…back a few pages a kind contributor explained the tax implications fairly well..

Look at the capital return as being a dividend. You will get £1 back for each share and the share price will drop accordingly like any dividend.
If the sp was £4.00 it would drop to £3.00 but you have £1.00 cash. The consolidation takes place but importantly the value you own does not change just the number of share you now own. The consolidation is rumoured just to keep the share price in and around the original price.
Less shares should give a better dividend in the future .

Hopefully Aviva can get a head of steam on before the payment and consolidation. But if that’s all we have to worry about we are lucky.

ML111… directly from their Rns on the 4th.. “following the capital return and Share Consolidation, a Shareholder with a holding of 100 ordinary shares at the Record Time would receive cash of £100 via the B share scheme, and would have a remaining holding in Aviva of 75 shares.”
It would seem it’s cash to do with as you wish. Good to see it rising again..g.l.

The AIM does seem to be hard work at the moment. Oxb are very quiet about the AZ vaccine so maybe they are still in discussions? Surely they would be duty bound to inform the market of such a loss. On the plus side it may have found bottom for the time being. Very strange times at the moment. Keep well..

Just looked in and saw the sp. Looks grim. If Oxb don’t get another Astra contract I fear that this is only the start of the drop. Cash burn is scary and they appear to have bought a pig in a poke with very few other revenue streams.
Yes, I agree the markets are in turmoil and could be for a considerable time so where does that leave Oxb?

The b shares are non taxable if Aviva shares held in an Isa..
