Oxb continues to disappoint unfortunately…

You make some very valid points. As a long term holder I am reconsidering and will probably dispose of some or all of my shares next year. 5% Divi on the back of a 5% share buyback.

Never fails to disappoint. Please don’t tell me the share buy back is working ! Market sentiment is appalling. Aviva will need to be very careful in the coming months as shareholder value is key and if they can’t deliver I imagine some will be baying for a change of leadership. 2.5% down today, that’s half of the buyback up in smoke… back to 400p next week.. sitting with cash but won’t be investing anymore here. - insipid/ stagnant.

Would be helpful if they could give a forecast of possible earnings. Even just make it up ;-)

The buy back is a side show and has little or no bearing on the sp. It is only 5% of the
Shares in issue and the last buy back made no difference and was bought in the £5’s. It is half complete now and has made no difference. It makes the Bod look as though they are earning their wages.
Why sell off profitable businesses and resulting earnings and then wonder what to do with the proceeds! It’s easy to see why Aviva is not the flavour of the month. But sentiment changes… look at M&S , BT and the banks…biggest holding and long term hold for me..

Reckon we will have to live with the recent £4 trading range until next years news of the special Divi. Very good results but still out of favour with the markets…was selling some good businesses a good idea ? Clearly not. Awash with cash and now talk of spending 1 billion on another business. Couldn’t make it up…

Oxb has become very much a manufacturing company and the vaccine has ensured that there should be no further fund raising for a very long time..

No reason for the drop. Been here for a very long time and never seen the company in a better position. When the shares in issue were reduced substantially a few years ago, billions to the millions, the bod hoped that would stabilise the sp and diminish the volatility making it more investable to both the large and small punter but it never happened. This time next week!

Happy enough if it can remain above the 1400’s.. ;-)

Still a very volatile share. Nice if it could break and hold above the 1600’s.

There are logistical problems which most if not all companies are experiencing but the bod don’t seem to know what is going on!

This might be worth a punt for new investors at this price but this company has truly shafted many who have been in from the highs. The Rns this morning is nothing short of shocking. No quick fix here.

Have been watching this for months and for one reason or another didn’t buy in. Really thought that this business model had something going for it. G.l all

Nwg announced a share buy back at the same time for the same amount and the sp has since risen 15%, dropping today on results. The sp is not being held back for the paltry amounts being bought each day. THIS IS A 15 BILLION COMPANY! Aviva is not flavour of the month.

A share buyback is “supposed” to enhance a company and make it more attractive by increasing the dividend which in this case should be 5%, equating to approx 0.3p. WOW…I would rather the sp increased by 5%. A Divi is great if the sp increases !

Aviva’s sp has been in quite a tight trading range for months before the share buy back was even mentioned.The share buy back is only for 5% of the shares in total so isn’t going to make a huge difference on a daily basis. Aviva has been out of favour for a longtime but I am holding in the hope that will change over the coming months. The special Divi may drive the sp forward when it’s announced and move us away from the £4 territory. People tend to forget about the last share buyback that was concluded in the £5’s…many moons ago…
