Even the great MA is underwater with his investment. He will not be best pleased so hopefully will decide to take it on to sort this company. Fingers crossed

I agree MA may not want a merger. Perhaps a few of the brands or some sort of tie up with Shein. I can't shake the sense Shein are somehow linked. Imo

If MA was happy to buy at 35, he will be at 27.....personal opinion is we will see a notification RNS in the next few days. This is a pretty good chance to take over BOO on the cheap. Normally buying at scale would cause a spike up but not in this setting. Gift of a chance and fair play as it has all worked out for him. I guess this is why he is a billionaire! They make their own luck.

Why buy BOO? I have been trying to work it out but with Shein partly in the mire for their policy of avoiding duties and EU/US getting tough on them, a vehicle such as BOO would be handy and MA is already dealing with Shein. Not sure LTH's will get a great deal out of this as BOO is at rock bottom currently but it works for MA and Shein, IMO....All speculation of course.

I have loaded up on few of my long term holdings today including THG. There isn't a world disaster leading to this rout. Its simply sentiment based on assumptions.....which are just as easily reversed. keep your heads people and no point in quarrelling on an anonymous chat board IMO.

Markets always lose their marbles and herd mentality creates a storm in these settings. Calm will return soon enough. IMO this is hugely manufactured fear based on assumptions of a US slowdown and these can turn on a dime. I too have added a chunk today. Happy to wait for the panic to be over and then have a good chuckle.

Threeputt (good name, all too familiar to me!), I respect your opinion but i disagree - this is absolutely what the Fed will do as it is partly their responsibility to provide direction and stability. How markets react is of course not always rational.

As much as buybacks are not popular with many, it is at times like this when markets are in panic, when buybacks help recovery from falls. I do hope they are using a chunk of the buyback allowance to load up at these prices - even more valuable as no divi will be payable for the shares bought back and cancelled.

This isn't a BOO issue. Markets are panicking as they do in these circumstances. The time to buy IMO and i have done this morning adding a nice chunk at 27.06 - lets see what happens. ATB and keep your heads folk. This will pass as soon as the Fed signal they will not allow a crash. IMO of course.

Anything at these levels is a steal IMO. Debt of 100M really isn't an issue. The drawdown facility extension should be agreed without too much fuss for a company with a turnover as large as this. I know turnover is not profit etc. But we are at the cusp of a turn in interest rates and inflation is under control. I am pretty happy to add at these levels. DYOR as this is simply my opinion.

Paying dividend at this time of conflict would be a red rag to a bull as far as the Ukrainian government is concerned. Restraint here is very sensible indeed. Solid production despite horrendous operating conditions. Once a ceasefire is announced, all brakes are off imo. Pay your money and take your chances. I've paid mine.
