Yes indeed. We'll have to see. The company did state in the Final Results that production would be between 13,000 - 14,000 tonnes. The very bottom figure - 13,000 tonnes - gives a gross revenue of about $73 million at a copper price of $5,600 (which is a conservative figure per tonne) per tonne of copper.

This has to be worth a buy right now. This from CAML's final results for 2016; "Revenue A total of 13,751 tonnes (2015: 11,750 tonnes) of copper cathode from Kounrad were sold through the Company's off-take arrangements with Traxys and a further 187 tonnes (2015: 290 tonnes) were sold locally. Total sales at Kounrad were 13,938 tonnes (2015: 12,040 tonnes) representing a 16% increase in volumes. While copper cathode sales volumes have increased during the year when compared to 2015, Group revenue was adversely impacted by the decline in copper prices. An average selling price of $4,994 per tonne was achieved in 2016 (2015: $5,336 per tonne), representing a 6% decrease in the price of copper. This generated gross revenues for the Group of $69.3 million (2015: $67.3 million)." Note, "an average selling price of $4,994 per tonne was achieved in 2016" A pound of copper has been over $2.58 all year (going on monthly average price). This equates to a price per tonne of over $5,676. This years results could be very good indeed. The half year results will also be very nice I suspect.

The prospect of gold at Shuak is particularly interesting. It could add a decent amount of revenue and would be a bit of a diversification which would be nice.

Yes, I agree with you all that this is a great, well run little copper producer. I just feel that the impending results where H2 is included with H1 will show that H2 offered little to no improvement overall. That said, as I've said before, H1 2017 should be significantly improved, once again assuming copper stays where it is or increases in price.

Rational investors are able to analyse all viewpoints without feeling insecure and attacking others who posts legitimate information. These boards are for discussing shares, not constantly ramping them. If I am trying to talking this share down by posting about potential increasing costs then you are most certainly ramping the share. Both are bad. I'm not deramping, but you might well be ramping, giving that you attack me for posting legitimate information. And yes I am invested here, not massively so though. I think H1 this year is going to be a good half for CAML, assuming copper prices stay where they are or increase. I think this company has good long term prospects but short-term there may be a better entry point depending on the results. I don't believe H2 2016 is going to be much better than H1 2016 based on the copper price and the weakening of the USD. Also look back at the posts on this board ands you will see I have posted before.

Additionally the dollar has lost some strength and consequently now buys less Tenges than it used to. This is going to make the cost to produce copper higher.

I am not actually sure the average price received per pound during H2 will be a lot higher (it might not even be higher at all) than H1. The big spike in copper prices last year didn't come until early November. I don't think we'll see much improvement in revenue with this reported half. However H1 2017 will be a different kettle of fish entirely assuming the copper price stays where it is or hopefully even goes higher.

Usually when these sorts of mouthpieces start talking up something it's time to sell. Time will tell I suppose.

Peel Hunt initiate coverage this morning with a buy rating and a price target of 250p

The two obvious downside risks from the current price are as follows: 1) Copper price - rather obvious, the current copper price and the several months of copper being above 2.50 should be good for CAMLs coming results and should justify an uptick in the share price, as they have obviously been making money on a much lower price of copper. If copper stays at 2.50 or increases from this value then this will obviously will be good at worst or great for the share price here. 2) Dollar strength - to me the dollar seems to be too strong, there's a strong likelihood it will not maintain this strength, this will affect the FX rate between the Tenge and the dollar which is were a lot of the extra profit from cost reductions has come from.

Realdeal2, after reading the report I noted that the NAV came out at $347m, which equated to £263m and a price per share of 235.5p. Their calculations used an exchange rate of $1.32/£GBP. That rate has since decreased to $1.24/£GBP (today) which now gives an NAV in sterling of: £279 (6.08% more) So I make the price per share adjusted for the new exchange rate: ~250p

£1.49 to sell now.
