if they presented an investment case that involved Russia of any kind then NO! And that is one of the issues AMC are facing.

Considering he has purchased over +7m of AMC shares for £162K.

It looks like RY has been flogging a dead horse for many years now, and in that respect, he and his team should take some credit!!

If one believes the FMV analysis is truly independent, then what they have in the ground is not worth as much as I and everyone else has hoped for. The analysis was completed on the 4th Feb before the war!!

In light of that, are there/or will there be more offers in the future? I doubt it. For me, this is the only realistic exit strategy the company has left.

What a disappointment.

They 'intend' on paying a div after the first instalment. At that point, they anticipate they will have $20m in cash. How much can they really give out?

Also, what is this loan business about? how can it be worth $30m

Don't want to be seen deramping here, but there is still no concrete evidence that there are two bidders. The way I read things is that the Express article is speculating on whom the bidder is that made the initial £100m offer.

If there was another bidder should we expect AMC to RNS this? Although there was little price movement If negotiations are at an advanced stage would it be prudent of AMC to suspend the shares?

Fair point about the sanctions being in play for years to come. I do think people/orgs find loopholes around some of the sanctions imposed. Some argue that the loopholes are designed to allow businesses involved in commodities like oil and gas to seep through!!

The sanctions will have little effect on China who I believe may have a role to play, China and Russia have already started policies to develop the far east. and with what is going on, China will be rubbing their hands at the Spring sales in Russia!!

I do get the 'let's get this over and done with' point, and the major risk of Russia, nationalising, penalising, going back on their word for foreign business, ww3 ....... need to be factored in. Although there is no real evidence that this will happen yet!!

I think Amur_isagogo said it, the market has no appetite for the TEO or sale or anything to do with Russia investment yet with the horrible things happening in the world.

releasing the TEO numbers now servers no purpose now.

In fact, even if buyers have the TEO numbers (and they are positive), with the current climate, AMC will be in a weaker position when it comes to any negotiations of a sale. Fair value, we will not get.

AMC have money in the bank which will last a while, AMC board need to sit tight, hold their nerve and wait. If needs be, string the discussions along (they are good at stringing people along!!). I have waited this long for my investment to mature, I can wait a little longer to ensure we get the best deal or something that resembles a fair deal, otherwise I am prepared to lose it all!!

Just my views, still trying to be positive, naive maybe so!!!

Unfortunately, history shows that the chance of the people revolting against a dictator like Putin is rare! An army coup may be different.

The funny thing is sanctions are designed to course disruption to the perpetrators and civilians. It is hoped that the civilians would revolt because of the sanctions. It is the civilians that end up suffering more than the perpetrators;

The irony is, The civilians are too busy finding ways to survive, in some extreme cases you will see families starving and the only people helping are the powers of the country 'Would you bite the hand that feeds you?'

One of the major grievances amongst shareholders is that we haven’t had enough information to make an informed decision. The release of the TEO may help us answer the question.

The next news will be (and I hope) the approval of the TEO, followed by the full report released within the public domain. If all is well and good, I expect sentiment will continue to be positive and a little rise in the share price may happen. For some, it may be an opportunity to top slice if they are that way inclined!

For me anyway, the fact that they are only in 'discussions' and that the discussed offer has come before the TEO is signed off and released, tells me the buyer was chancing their luck.

I could be totally wrong here (and it is not unusual for me to be) but no offer will be put to shareholders until at a minimum the TEO is released and like some have said the TEO hopefully will add value.

The flip side is if the BOD present an offer to shareholders before the TEO, I would personally take it.

I am not surprised that the BOD are in discussions with potential buyer/s for xx million and believe that they have been for many years, It should be part of their job to be in regular discussions with potential buyers. I don't think every discussion (if not all ) warrants an RNS. In this instance, information was leaked, speculation grew and the share price acted accordingly, I guess they had to issue one.

For me, the RNS uses the word discussions which is very different to negotiations of an official offer

The BOD would be wrong to dismiss the discussions of 100million especially if the buyer is credible. I expect the 100million is the baseline to build upon.
