Charles Jillings, CEO of Utilico, energized by strong economic momentum across Latin America. Watch the video here.
I have noticed a reduction in GREEN sections recently. Perhaps they are moving on to new bridges to hide beneath.
I much prefer it when a partner is earning in by spending their money to turn Zambian gazelle grazing pasture into swiss cheese. aka Tier 1 a copper asset or two.
Insiders drove the sp down. Volume was there to allow the Pension fund to exit. I thought it was the Pension fund driving it down as they could exit with a profit well below current sp (weighted average of their sells).
So this placing is entirely to service the needs of the Directors and participants in the £4m placing.
I am not averse to a placing, but the execution is appalling.
The Directors should be rewarded for pulling off a fantastic deal (anglo) and I would have been delighted to see them get a bunch of 3p warrants or similar on favourable terms.
The execution and timing of the placing is as close to fraud as I imagine they could get
I asked the ceo and pr sasha advised they did ask brokers if a block buyer could be found. But since the seller had already made it clear publicly they were going to sell because of their principles no matter what - any buyers could let the stock drop and buy in the open market. The seller gave ceo and brokers a tough hand to sell don't you think.
if you followed this stock you would know that they did. i am not privvy to why no takers, other than the market is a bit **** and the block seller is going to sell whether or not arc or brokers line up a buyer!! so if i was a buyer i'd let the seller have pain and rub my hand together as i gobble up the result of their old colonial impressions of zambia.
Based on what Sasha said earlier this week (17m left) and the big round numbers y'day - my guess is about 5m left. A bite size chunk.
With the 2 day delay in updating the register there's a reasonable +/-3m to anyone's guess/estimate.
All the selling wont be the Swedes of course, anyone daft enough to have this on margin for example and those poor souls spooked by the sociopaths will also be selling.
The Mgt tried to show they were in control of the company direction and strategy. They asked the capital markets to confirm this, they found out they are in control of jack sh*t
I guess the market likes to see mgt having a plan and being able to execute that plan.
Time to do a 70% earn in with committed capex program and cash component to fund the company.
We aint building no fecking mine do you get that Claude?
Someone else is going to build it and Landore can have a stake in it.
Is this Director in the room with you now?
Oh the windmills keep spinning my dear fiend
Yours sincerely Sancho Pancho
More like Troll bingo than tingo lol.
It is Avanti that are completing the Missisi deal. Listing on tsx to acquire the asset. In the process Arc gets shares in Avanti. Keep up will you.
It is a messy world out there deals have come and gone.
More to the point what's the alternative, shouting at windmills perhaps? Or find another buyer like Avanti.
Listen to your good friend Pancho he can probably calm you down.
Guess again
It would appear the deal is done, or rather the conditions precedent have been met. Anglo are already drilling one of the licences apparently. AAL to spend circa £80m looking for copper. 70/30 split on the JV with Arc
No but if you rolled in glitter you would be shiny
If you watch his presentation at the Saudi conference recently: A Keynote Presentation at the Future Minerals Forum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on January 11, 2023
Great presentation and a huge amount of work/cash has gone into DRC. Caused me to consider that DRC will soon be as investable as Zambia. Missisi will be worth something one day.
Remarkable what Ivanhoe have achieved there.
As we have little (none whatsoever) news I thought I would share this story.
https://hotcopper.com.au/threads/ann-lumwana-west-update-licence.7147891/?source=email
The background is -
About this time last year The local Zambian directors 'forgot' to submit forms to renew the exploration licences.....but did remember to start a newco and register them as the licence applicant. The local directors are also senior political figures. Meaning Argonaut lost their licences in ZAM overnight.
I came across the story as I was looking around at what else is going on in and around arc licences. Given the trouble Arc were having at the time with our own local relationships it added to my concerns.
NvS also followed the story as Arc had previously (well before the trouble) looked over the licence package and concluded they had selected well with what they had.
It is pleasing to see Zambian justice begin to resolve the clear case of corruption and I believe this bodes well for Zambia as a good place to invest. Whilst it is a small case I believe more than just Argo shareholders will be following this closely.
Anyway I thought some of you might appreciate the story.
I have seen this 3 or 4 times now with LND. A series of buys including a load of 69 trades.
Never seen that before. Totally meaningless of course but ever so odd at the same time.
Ah wouldn't it be absolutely joyous to have a taxation problem .... bring it the F on
One thing I have noticed listening to about an hour's worth of the Minister either making a speech to an investment community or releasing news to journalists is that he is a very pragmatic man. He wants a win win. He doesn't use populist tropes, he understands the economics, he understands how to extract the best value for Zambians as well as attract investment to Zambia.
I think this helps the AA/ARCM project.
Yes it does, time and patience causes it to spontaneously combust with a large upward trajectory.
However a watched rocket never explodes.
Such are the complexities of investing in Arcm.
I wouldn't. Looks to me like a delisting situation.
If they weren't MASSIVE they wouldn't be able to see them - obvs ;-)
