New year. New adventure… In June 2021, I sold my company Affectiva to Smart Eye.
Now, after two and a half years, it is time to explore my next adventure. Starting Feb 1st, I am transitioning out of my full time role at Smart Eye to focus on my next adventure. I will continue to support Smart Eye as an advisor, helping with the company’s strategy and AI roadmap.

I am so proud of the Smart Eye and Affectiva team and what we have accomplished together. I am grateful.
Anyone know the exact date for this in 2024 ?
Last year was the 22nd Feb so probably a month away from news but big Q is can we expect a flurry of OEM contract wins before this announcement, according to PMG !

Long-term, the RVM is forecast to account for ~70-80% of the DMS/OMS market, which looks set to be divided up between Gentex and Magna. Gentex uses proprietary algorithms from its acquisition of Guardian Optical, while Magna has an exclusive partnership with, and has invested in, Seeing Machines. Smart Eye has no obvious route to market in the RVM, which may explain why it is pursuing a role as a "software tier-1" and taking on the significant commercial risks which that involves.
The first RVM wins for Magna appear to have been shown at the Volkswagen Group press conference at #CES, comprising the 2024 refresh of the #MQB platform (#Golf Mk8.5) and the #MEB platform (ID EVs). The volumes are significant, meaning 2024 looks set to be the year that #delivery wins out over #designwins.

8. Australian technology firm Seeing Machines deploys software and cameras to ensure that drivers are keeping their eyes on the road. Vehicles are becoming increasingly automated, and regulatory trends are a tailwind, but the Aim-listed shares have been neglected of late (5p).

This bothers me alot , how can SmartEye be partnering with Cerence, when Magna/SEE are working with VW/Cerence on the ID7:
On display at CES 2024, Smart Eye’s driver monitoring system (DMS) software is integrated with Cerence Assistant, the company’s core in-car assistant offering. Using a rearview mirror camera, the multi-modal system analyzes a driver’s face and eye gaze to determine where a driver is looking, as well as whether they are speaking or expressing reactions and emotions. This integrated offering also supports drowsiness detection, which is becoming increasingly mandatory through new driver monitoring regulations worldwide.
With this human-centric insight combined with context from the vehicle, Cerence Assistant adapts its reaction in real-time to provide more natural, personalized, and relevant interactions with the driver. With increased emotional intelligence, Cerence Assistant will react differently if a driver is tired, distracted or in a bad mood, than if the driver is alert, attentive, energetic, or joyful, enhancing safety and providing a comfortable and engaging driving experience that is more personalized than ever before.
“Drivers and passengers want to interact with vehicle HMI in a more natural, personalized and relevant manner,” said Martin Krantz, Smart Eye Founder and CEO. “We are excited to collaborate with Cerence to deliver the next generation of immersive in-vehicle AI companions, that are emotionally aware and take engagement far beyond a basic voice command & control.”

Just hope it's our cameras & tech that are helping this, maybe what Colin Barnden was alluding to ?
We're excited to announce our groundbreaking e-drive and anti-drunken driving technology at #CES2024! Our new e-drive offers enhanced power and efficiency you've never experienced before. But we didn't stop there. With the increasing emphasis on driver safety, we're pioneering anti-drunken driving technology, using advanced cameras and sensors that detect if a driver's blood alcohol concentration is at or above the legal limit.

The advanced digital rearview mirrors envisioned in this partnership go beyond merely serving as reflective surfaces. They are designed to incorporate high-resolution displays that provide drivers with a comprehensive and clear view of their surroundings. Enhanced connectivity features will enable seamless integration with other vehicle systems, ensuring a cohesive and user-friendly experience.
Integral to this collaboration is the incorporation of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) functionalities. By integrating these features into the digital rearview mirrors, Magna and Samsung aim to enhance driver safety and situational awareness. This includes features such as lane departure warnings, collision detection, and adaptive cruise control, providing drivers with real-time information to make informed decisions on the road.

Doubt its ours as they see Magna as the competitor but interesting what they say:
Ihring also discussed placement of the cameras in the cabin, saying that lower is better for driver monitoring, but higher is better to include more occupants
Hard to tell but does not look like it's ours however similar eye gaze tracking so who knows !

Hmmm...what Q did he hear then to say 50,000 connections then ?

Retracted by SEE ? Where did you see this was lost in France ?
What is the link between consumer trust and the fully optimized synchronization of #ADAS and DMS? When the external and internal sensors are on the same page, what would that do for consumer trust?
Seeing Machines has been tackling these and other complex questions for over two decades, driven by an internal purpose of getting everyone home safe.
CEO Paul McGlone joins me to discuss the relationship between ADAS and DMS, why consumer trust is essential, and how the company continues to rally around its foundational principles of safety.

Yes it seems that the market players/forces are not speculating on SEE fortunes like other AI stocks which is frustrating.
But it looks like this might actually play into our hands. SEE now realises that the path to profitability is their only hope of increasing shareholder wealth.
The path to profitability is a key theme for SEE. Colin Barnden has also pointed out that competitors like SmartEye, TOBI etc must all focus on the end game before their money runs out and some may not survive in this high interest environment.
We will see how this plays out over the next 6/12 months but vital SEE prove all doubters wrong & pay back all loyal investors & shareholders with a double digit share price and a juicy dividend.

This past year, we proudly celebrated the first-year anniversary of our ✨new garage✨ in Timisoara, Romania.
🚗 Situated outside our company premises, this expanded space of over 300 square meters, provides us with the ideal environment to carry out our Vision and Night Vision, and other sensors projects more efficiently and effectively.
🔧Not only does it house cutting-edge tools and technical equipment, but it also accommodates seven test cars on which our amazing team performs the vehicle integration tests.
