Magna's Driver Monitoring System, built into an auto-dimming rearview mirror, analyzes the driver's head, eyes and body to detect distracted or drowsy drivers.

As drivers watch the road, their cars will be watching them.
While some automakers use sensors on the steering column to track the driver's attention, Magna's Driver Monitoring System is built into an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The system analyzes the driver's head, eyes and body to detect distracted or drowsy driving. The camera-based system also uses infrared sensors. It can predict when a driver might not be paying enough attention and send an alert using a vehicle's audio or visual notifications.

In October, Magna and Seeing Machines announced a deal to co-market the rearview mirror device.

Automakers are preparing for European regulations in 2026 that will require that all new vehicles have some driver-monitoring technology, among other advanced safety features. This fall, the National Transportation Safety Board called for a new rule in the U.S. that would use in-cabin monitoring to prevent drunken driving.

I’m more interested in who sweeped up the remaining shares at 5.5p. Lucky beggars !

Just wondering if something is going on behind the scenes before possible news or even a takeover ? Either way Lombard are still the biggest shareholder by far plus they are electing M. Brown back in at the AGM so still positive.

Like us they have been waiting a long time to get rewarded but they still sound committed so must have been a cash requirement.

Bit strange timing tho, as we are expecting news soon so wonder what the rush was all about ?

I don’t think there is a takeover anytime soon especially at these depressed prices. It’s in SEE’s best interest to get more wins to drive growth & get us closer to 11p in which Magna then invests the rest of their money.

Once it’s at 11p more institutional money will pour in & we might get to 16 or 17p. Then we can explore takeover opportunities to get us to 25p which I think will be a fair price to pay.

Huge volume tends to mean news is on its way.I’m sure it will be good & The fact that share price went as low as 5.5p & bounced back to 7p says all you need to know. Weak hand etc, hope no one was foolish to sell today !
