Well if they are still drilling the first hole then they could be down to around 1700m by now. That's not unexpected given the depth of the Konkola Deep (AKA Kirilabombwe) orebody has been traced to 1400m depth at about 1500m to the NE of the license area and it's expected to dip further towards the SW.

Weekly chrome concentrate update... up this week, reported at US$320/ tonne. A new high in recent years.

That’s just over 400m of combined drilling per hole to target the IP anomaly seen at around 300-400m depth.

They have some licenses held as "Anglo Exploration Zambia Ltd" all of them held for a number of years and most due for renewal this year. Quite a few of their licenses were cancelled during the recent Cadastre spring clean, so maybe out of date / already expired. Certainly nothing that's looking as high potential as the Arc JV license area.

You advised me to look at your historic posts so i took you at your word. For the record, there wasn’t much of interest to me apart from the LND buy at 25p to add to your long term holding. It’s only gone down in value since until the recent uptick…

I posted this the other day on X but I don't think many people picked up on it. The most relevant bit is around 1:40 min in.

All KoBold are trying to do is establish if the ore shale extends as far as Konkola West, they are not expecting to hit another Mingomba on the first drill. If they hit the same kind of thickness and grade as at Konkola then that would be a massive win as far as I'm concerned. Anything more than that would be amazing.

I know TNR's game is to bury any posts he doesn't want people to see with his own FUD...

It’s very telling that information which is highly relevant to Arc and its shareholders, ie, 2 out of 4 of KCM’s top exploration targets sit on our license boundary and one of them directly connects to our recent IP anomaly, is dismissed out of hand as irrelevant by these paid stooges.

The Mining Licensing Committee (MLC) is overdue to release the results for their decisions on the latest batch of license applications. Hopefully Mukai will be amongst them when they do, I'm sure the license renewal will need to be confirmed before they can finalise the ongoing JV discussions.

Jonah yes the correlation is probably more obvious to me because I calculate a PGM basket price from the individual element prices. Chrome only just started to be more prominent in the first half of FY24 and actually that was mainly due to a big increase in Q2 which was masked to some extent by the lower Q1 numbers. The full effect of Thutse should only be apparent in the H2 numbers and maybe then investors will start to put more value on it.

Obviously if there are more problems at Roan it’s going to be a negative but just pointing out that there are other issues at play here. Hopefully it’s just taking longer than expected to fully ramp up but honestly who knows?!

I didn't say they were but the fact is our SP still reacts to the PGM price until we start showing profits from chrome and copper. Don't believe me? That's your choice but I track SLP SP for a reason:

The silence over Roan is likely having some impact on the SP but it's not the whole picture. PGM's have been falling back since the recent SP peak. In the time we have dropped about 10%, SLP is down about 16% so you could say we are doing comparatively well! (tongue firmly in cheek). Obviously the frenzy over copper price has died off a bit too which all contributes to the overall picture no doubt.

Not the RNS I was hoping for this morning but good news all the same. The Mupala license is within a few km of the area where Arc Minerals drilled some of the highest grade intercepts seen in the Domes region and also where Anglo American is drilling, looking for tier one deposits. The exposed Lower Roan geology which runs through the Mupala license is known to be closely associated with hydrothermal copper deposits which is why Anglo were keen to acquire it.

• An abundance of shallow water carbonates

• Transitional facies, on-lapping surfaces

• Basin structure orientation changes

• A surplus of trap sites.

• At Mawana Fold, mineralisation is hosted within the laminated siltstone and lower marl units at the redox front situated 30m above the NPF contact just above the massive limestone unit. Vein hosted chalcocite is also present within carbonate quartz veining at the top of the limestone.

• Mineralisation at Zone 9 is hosted within the bedded limestone suggesting a carbonate platform is close by. The redox front and mineralisation sits 15 m above the NPF contact. High grade mineralisation is predominately chalcocite rimmed with chalcopyrite and minor accompanying bornite dominates within accompanying chalcopyrite and chalcocite."

Both Zone 9 and Mawana Fold are on Arc's license boundary of course.

I found an old map which shows the plans for possible development of the Konkola Deep orebody, including depth contours and dip angles at sections through the orebody. I've overlaid it here on the Google Earth map with Konkola West license and highlighted some depth points. It shows just how quickly the depth of the ore shale changes in some areas and why it's so difficult to predict at what depth they might intercept it! One other thing, I hadn't realised just how close to that orebody the Konkola West license boundary is... only 1500m from the 1240m contour at the closest point:
