Mineralisation Zone28 May 2024 10:02
I found this information in a research report, it shows where copper-cobalt mineralisation is found for the various mines around the Copperbelt:

Copied from the report:
"In the Eastern Zambian Copperbelt most major deposits are hosted within the lower Roan Subgroup
(Turlin et al., 2016). The deposits are stratiform and are differentiated into argillite-hosted and arenite-
hosted deposits. Argillite-hosted deposits occur mostly in carbonaceous dolomitic siltstones and shales
while arenite-hosted deposits occur both in the hanging wall and footwall of the ore shale unit (Figure
2-2). Generally, argillite-hosted deposits tend to have a longer strike length compared to arenite-hosted
deposits (Hitzman et al., 2012). The shape, size and distribution of the deposits is highly influenced by the
sub-basin fault architecture and the presence of reductants (Hitzman et al., 2012). The Konkola deposit,
shown as deposit 20 in Figure 2-3 is argillite-hosted and part of the shale belt."
Obviously the nearest mines to our area of interest are Konkola and Konkola North (now called Lubambe), both of which are mineralised within the ore shale itself rather than the strata above or below it.
