Some quite sobering numbers with regard to the amount of tailings being produced with increasingly poor grades of copper mined. By the year 2050 we will be generating as much tailings in a year as in the whole of the 20th century combined. Large deep porphyry deposits will not be seen in a very favourable light with the huge amounts of tailings generated in an open pit and the huge costs to set up an underground mine. You have to ask, with so much tailings already at surface and the possibility of reprocessing them very economically…. Why bother with low grade porphyry? Something for Ella to consider possibly.

It seems that Argonaut may have been a bit naive in not checking that the documentation for renewing their license was correctly filed, leaving them open to theft. Not something that is going to happen to Arc. It is worth remembering why the license was considered potentially valuable enough to steal though…. It lies on the ZAMBIAN RING OF COPPER! Yes I made that up :-)

This video is worth a watch, some interesting information about areas around the world where exploration is going on for sedimentary copper. Some good info on Zambia, DRC, Botswana and Namibia. Have a look in particular at the map of deposits found around the Central African Copperbelt…. Where the next potential find is labelled… “2020?” Is right on Arc’s licenses…. He clearly knows the score!

I'm expecting to see a few more negative posters popping up with news of Roan ramp up due this month, I'm sure they realise as well as we do the effect it's likely to have on the share price!

Shorn I guess they probably picked up on the jurisdictions from the last investor call, Leon specifically mentioned those two areas.

I had an email from the company this week (I’m on the mailing list) and they requested anyone intending to attend in person to email them to confirm so they can check on numbers. There was no mention of needing a letter of representation but probably best to check on that when you email. The email address is ‘info at jubileemetalsgroup dot com’.

I wonder if our Casa buyer is Regency Silver Corp who completed an oversubscribed IPO of $3m this week and started trading yesterday as RSMX on the Toronto Stock Exchange. They have a subsidiary company registered in Peru named Regency Mining. They are a South American focused silver and gold junior explorer… maybe looking for other opportunities?

"I expect to see certain significant projects, certain transactions...."

He mentioned Mopani, KCM, FQM and Kasenseli gold specifically.

Three lines of general tosh with no detail to back up anything you’ve said. The SP went from sub 3p to over 20p on PGM ramp up…. I’d hardly call that doing jack for the SP! Copper is forecast to dwarf PGM earnings once phase 2 and 3 come online… then there is Cobalt which hasn’t even been factored in yet.

On the contrary, I think we should expect something very soon if they stick to the timetable. Roan is forecast to be fully ramped up within the next few weeks and it would be very much in their interests to let us know that before the General Meeting if they can. Regular forecastable copper every month will help the market value us more realistically than we are at the moment.

Summit, looking at your posting history it seems you are negative on all the shares you post on, which suggests you are either a really poor investor or a trader in disguise. Which is it?

The key that ignited Voisey Bay was that they drilled more than 30m of massive sulphides. We haven’t done that yet, although I think there is every chance we will, and possibly in multiple locations. If that happens in the next drilling season then I could easily see a bidding war happening but until then I think a JV is more realistic. Just my opinion of course, time will tell what the real story is!

Nick made several references in the last investor call to a partnership so I think that the deal they were negotiating is a JV rather than a sale. Also we are unlikely to get anywhere near what the company thinks the licenses are worth without further drilling to prove what we have so, unless the major is convinced by the latest EM results I don’t really see that happening.

It’s just as well that the big mining companies employ teams of geologists rather than not-a-geologists!
