After 3 years as a shareholder in Arc Minerals, which had deramping on a scale that makes Bushy and Butterball look like Laurel and Hardy, I find myself now immune to their nonsense. Thankfully Arc has now turned the corner and those shareholders who kept the faith are already being rewarded.
I’m hoping that in the fullness of time my patience will be rewarded here too. Assuming these processing modules do work as intended (and they must be confident of that if they are already constructing number 2) then this is a game changer for the copper industry in Zambia and beyond and its then just a matter of building them as fast as possible. I’m happy to wait and see although I think it’s going to take longer than any of us originally anticipated.
As has been previously mentioned I think the current PGM basket will accelerate the closure of unprofitable mines and a reduction in supply. In the meantime we are building out capacity, meaning our cost per PGM ounce will come down further.
Chrome prices have come down off their highs a little, but at US$280-285 / tonne, thats still very good for us at a time when chrome production and margins are increasing.
