Homey knows very well how important this announcement is, thats why he’s doing his best to talk it down while he buys back in! If he didn’t rate it then he wouldn’t be here.

The actual spread is nowhere near that big, thats only the headline figure.

Homey shows up again like the shopkeeper in Mr Ben (children’s tv reference for the youngsters here). For those who don’t know him, he does this whenever there is good news. It means he’s buying.

I was wondering a while back about the Minister of Mines announcing the IRH deal with Mopani and in the same press conference talking about Chambishi Metals re-opening. I’m thinking that it might be that IRH will be the one to buy Chambishi, with Jubilee appointed to run the operations there.

So Leon was talking about a minimum split of 30% of the SPV with no capital requirement from Jubilee. I guess the first target for IRH will be to maximise utilisation of Mopani’s processing capability.

With costs estimated below US$4,000 / tonne and 20,000 tonnes / year target thats about US$90 million margin / annum on a US$50 million investment. Seems like pretty good business! Yes we need to know more about how the deal is structured but however you look at it this is fantastic news.

Yes it looks like Jubilee must have been in the discussions with IRH and Mopani before the IRH / Mopani investment was announced. They clearly have seen enough to get behind Jubilee and push the modular strategy on much faster than we were expecting!

This is BIG news!

DiamondGeazer is just another of the many accounts created to deramp the company over the last couple of years. Just more FUD. It was made clear in the recent investor call that the Botswana assays were put on hold to conserve cash during the protracted government clearances prior to the final signing of the JV.

It’s probably time to stop pandering to Donkey and the other blatant derampers and just report their posts. We all know what their agenda is by now!

@aprogerson, It would be great if we had some assays under our belt before the investor evening, either from Botswana or Zambia. That would give them something to talk about.

If anyone is planning to go along on Tuesday, a few updates would be great. Unfortunately I can’t make it, and usually I’m not one to turn down a free drink!
